East-Coast Mid connectivity issues (with MTR report) to washington server

Having similar issues as other people with connections to the server. Tons of packet loss.

OK, the only thing of any concern in that winmtr is this line:

bbr01spbgsc-bue-4.spbg.sc.charter.com - 1 | 420 | 419 | 0 | 21 | 63 | 16

That is 1% packet loss that propagates through to the end of the trace (you start with 424 packets, and only 420 make it to the server - 4 lost is 1%, and that is caused by this node). This is not a huge amount of loss, but nothing else in there indicates any problems (the other losses of 7%, 17% & 100% are ICMP deprioritization only).

Were you actually experiencing bad lag while this winmtr was running, as it doesn't look too bad?

If you can run further winmtr tests while playing, you might be able to confirm that it is always that node - in which case it would need to be passed on to your ISP as that is part of their infrastructure.

I was just sitting in my HO running the trace, so probably you are right that I need to do it while I'm experiencing the lag... which is whenever I go into a map.

It is really terrible and constant though. Never lets up the entire time I'm in maps. Then it is fine while I'm in the HO.

same - started happening a few days ago my buddy and I thought we need a new keyboard and mouse because the controls just didn't respond but it turns out it's just periodic latency spikes

same problem for 2 days , me and my friend from quebec have the same issue with random spike. We both have the same 150-750 ping at the same time.

We both from Washington , Playing HC with this kind of problem is kinda annoying.

Just seen another winmtr from someone else, that also has packet loss at a charter.com node - so I would say they probably have an infrastructure problem at their end somewhere.

cgexile & pimpoe... your problems may be completely different - you will need to run your own winmtr and paste results (see sticky thread at top of tech forum).

May need to wait a while though, as it appears GGG do have some issues currently, following the latest patch.

I have friends I play with that are in New York and New Jersey that are experiencing the exact same lag at the same time I am. When there is a big spike we all freeze up, and we aren't all using charter.

Dunno, it started 2 days ago just like other people said, before that I have never noticed a problem playing PoE.

Are you playing in a party with these friends, and does one of them use an ISP called cogentco by any chance?
