Xbox One 3.4.2 Patch Notes

I agree with this, some of my builds are unplayable cuz they are to fast for the game to handle on xbox one x? and i keep getting put in russian servers or texas Us, when i live in NY why wouldnt it put me in DC. we need a serve select option on xbox please
People complaining about rubber banding it's most likely desynch a well known and unfortunate for now problem that may or may not ever be fixed.

If it's not that then you are probably playing on WiFi, learn what an ethernet cable is and use it. Problem solved.

When you're done living in your princess made up world, appreciate that not everyone has access to ethernet. Having a cabled internet doesn't solved rubber banding either, but you knew that being a technically savvy person who knows about network prediction and replication systems.

It does not fix all problems but it makes a very large difference. So in the realm of "is there anything players can do to help this" which was the statement that certainly falls in that category.

The problem with desync took what 3-4 years on the PC to fix, and the fix doesn't work on the XBox because the lockstep logic simply makes the game play terrible. I can't say that from personal experience but it is what they said and I get it. Yes the desync is annoying when you use leap slam or shield charge and get jumped back after three runs, but there are things you can do to minimize it (aim closer to the center of hallways don't cut corners as much), but this is likely the state we will have in this game until something very significant changes with their code.

I managed to play PoE for a few years without Lockstep and the XBox experience for me is more than good enough to make up for it now. If it isn't for you I would suggest going to the PC version because the technical leap for them to solve this is likely farther away than you would like.

Given the ruckus on the PC side, I think that I would rather just skip the original version - even if it means another day or two wait. Others may think differently of course.
