Poor connection on any EU Server

For the last few days i got a very uneven connection to the EU-servers.
It doesn't seem to matter if i pick frankfurt, london, paris or amsterdam. The experience is always the same. Some of the time it runs ok at whatever ping i usually have at these endpoints.
But alot of the time my ingame graph looks like this:
I can't remember a time where my connection to the poe game servers has been that bad.

Every other game i played in the last few days ran really well. Different speedtests all show good results (i use speedof.me and dslreports.com/speedtest - not to sure if those are currently considered as decent).

EDIT: Disregard the testresults of this first post. My router doesn't seem to like WinMTR-evaluations.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any tips? Is this an issue of my ISP? Would be weird, since everything else runs fine.

Same here.
I wish they would acknowledge the issue and tell us they're working on it :x

They have.

Also, you DO NOT have the same problem as the OP past a very basic "it lags" which could literally be anything, in the case of the OP his problem is packet loss and it looks to be from his end somewhere.

First hop should not show 100% packet loss and it should show up, the other hops could show 90%+ packet loss, but that looks to consistent and come the end of it you loose 3% to 57% of the packets sent.

(speed tests don't really show anything, they also only show from you to their nearest node which could just be down the street)

First, pull the plug on the router and leave it off for several minutes then try the test again

Not sure what happened over night. But now it runs really well. Played for about an hour now, made master missions, ran some maps, checked oriath. Ping is always in the usual range. Highest spikes are around 150ms, but those are rather rare.
So in short, the connection is way better than the last few days. Don't really know what happened though.
WinMTR still shows the same result with high packet loss, probably my router is blocking/ignoring icmp packets. Next time i should check without the router.

Aaaand it's shitty again. No luck with this league for me.

Took the power of my modem and router for about a minute and let it reconnect, no change. Everything else runs great. Just poe has a poor connection.

That just really depends on which speedtest you use. I can assure you that no speedtest provider has a node "down the street" of this rural town with a population of 1800 people, in the middle of nowhere, bavaria.

Anybody else having issues?

Edit: Curiosity got me trying. I connected my pc directly to the cable-modem, without the router inbetween.

Connection in Winmtr looks good, as far as i can tell. Meanwhile idling in my hideout i have a ping a few times higher.

Hi Alrightythen,

You have 1-2% packet loss between your PC and the first hop included in your WinMTR capture. This is going to cause connectivity issues, and is something you should be able to get your ISP to fix for you.

Looking at your initial post, the packet loss is significantly worse there. I would be suprised that anything would be working reliably with 92%+ packet loss.
First post was with router, i guess the fritz box https://en.avm.de/products/fritzbox/fritzbox-4020/ doesn't like constant icmp packets or something?

I try to contact my isp about this.

Edit: What i don't get, if it's in the first few hops, why isn't every other game affected (ironsight, insurgency, counterstrike, quake champions,...)?!

Those games won't be using something similar to the lockstep connection mode that will have been defaulted to on for you.

They will use something similar to the predictive mode we have (under options -> UI -> networking mode), with the server also trusting the client as authoritative for things like the player's position.

Don't think ae5.cbs01.xn01.fra01.networklayer.com is on my side.
Logged just right now.

Something going on between hop 1 and 2 because you suddenly gets a high letancy here.. Both looks like private / local devices.
If 10.0.0.1 is your local gateway, can you explain what 172.16.22.42 is??

Is it possible that you have 2 routers in your network, like first a wireless router and then the hardwired ISP local router??
