I played around with a staff version but I could not nearly reach the same dps like with swords... so I dropped it.

Just a little update... with my budget gear I bought at the beginning of the season for 10-15chaos I could clear maps up to T12. So I really think this build is a good league starter and really budget friendly. I will post a new video with some scenes of T11 and T12 with my budget gear soon.

Now I will invest the currency I farmed and push higher tiers and deeper into the delve.

Very casual player here. Following this thread and starting a league with this build at lvl 12 now. Looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to the new video and extra details. Thanks.
So I kept trying to make Static Strike work and I got up to about T5/6 maps. What I'll say is when it works it really works nice, especially in tiny spaces in maps like Toxic Sewers - not having to always be slapping mobs to deal damage is a nice change for melee builds. The issue is the range of the skill itself and the beams from the skill - they are both short in range and infrequent. When you need to be this close to deal damage it really just gets hard to stay alive and I eventually swapped to Smite with multistrike for now.

I personally recommend omitting multistrike from a Static Strike setup as you need to be VERY mobile while playing this skill, a pair of spiked gloves with 10% attack speed coupled with this tree and a Terminus did really well even without multistrike - the gameplay pretty much revolved around leaping near or into a pack to proc Fortify and just running around hitting things until they die - now this works fine for a while but as you start getting to the harder map mods it really just sucks the fun out of the game constantly having to worry about needing to be so close to deal any damage at all. Especially maps with Temp. Chains took like 15 minutes to clear.

As a closer - I really hope they improve Static Strike, its an interesting skill that can have its place but needs some fine-tuning. I'd say maybe first try making the stacks last longer? Whether or not the biggest issue is the Inquisitor base or not I can't really say but I don't presume any other class suddenly making this skill 10 times better.

IMO there are two main problems with Static Strike:
1) Duration seems way too low for this kind of playstyle.
2) The range of the beams is tiny... it should be double.

I think it is sad that the rework a skill and it is that bad :(

My advice is to use consecrated path instead and have the time of your life. CP is really fun and fast!

I am still having no problems with Static Strike, into t10 maps now. Using Chain + Phys to Lightning Support is most important, and not Multistrike. 5 link needed (Loreweave, with chain dont need Inpulsa I think) and decent other gear. Phys to lighnting gem for rest of conversion besides static strike conversion.

Playstyle: Hit once any enemy (attack and/or leap slam), press phase run + quicksilver flask - everything dies around you/almost whole screen. Repeat. Very fast clearspeed. For single target use 4-5-6 link Warchief Totem in addition.

Been looking for a Smite build that didn't focus/force Summoner Mode, and so far, this is the only one I've found. Going to give it a try, but curious what's preferred: 2H or Dual Wielding~?
