Normally cast speed works linearly on cast rate, but what you are discribing here is exponential growth.

If this is serious, then cast speed is much much better with this skill than with spells, if you manage to stack a lot more than 100%. On the other hand, it will only be worse up untill 100%. It seems kind of the opposite of what you tried to do with the area scalling changes.

The wording makes it sound like the 0.9s delay would be reduced to 0.45s (1/2) at 100%, 0.225s (1/4) at 200% and 0.1125s (1/8) at 300% increased Cast Speed, which isn't the way Cast Speed normally scales at all.

Can we get a clarification on this?

You need to convert cast time to casts per second (get reciprocal) like this:
1 / 0.9s = 1.11 casts per second
So +100% is:
1.11 * 2 = 2.22 casts per second
Going back:
1 / 2.22 = 0.45s cast time

Similarly +200% would result in 1 / 3.33 = 0.3s cast time

In other words - you increase the speed of casting, not reduce the time by 100%.

This update is so spicy, the Harkonnens are starting up mining operations.
