Havoc616 Wins 2nd Alt-Art Demi of HC Flashback League with 2nd Level 100

I don't see an exp nerf but a KB nerf incoming. Or a nerf of flat elemental abyss jewels.

Well when they play 24/7 it wont take long to reach 100, its a shame when GGG nerf's EXP when players reach 100 so quickly like this. It screws over the vast majority of players that may want to reach that 100 goal.

the term you're looking for is "diminishing returns" and poe hasn't got any i'm aware of.

their method of choice to grant the average player some lucky moments is the random outcome of so many mechanics. i never understood common players arguing against it.

maybe xp return also needs to be randomised.

Well, you know what that means, right?

NEW patch notes:

All exp gain past lvl 80 has been reduced in half.

It now takes 50% more exp to level from 95 to 96, 60% more to level from 96 to 97, 70% more to level from 97 to 98, 80% more to level from 98 to 99, and a whooping 200% more exp to level from 99 to 100!"

Death penalty has been increased to 20% per death

GGG should stop nerfing exp at high level and start nerfing exp in low lvl maps. the most efficient way to lvl shouldn't be a tier 11 maps.

They need to start rewarding risk once and for all.

There have been a few posts asking GGG to limit the total hours you are allowed to play in a 24 hour period. That would accomplish several things:

1. Keep players from physically damaging their health due to lack of sleep.
2. Make it so GGG doesn't need to have as high of an xp mountain from 90 to 100.
3. Not require as many one-shot death traps to stealth 10% xp to slow progress.
4. Allow players to try/play and enjoy playing builds other than the speed meta ones.
(Damn it GGG, not everyone wants to speed race through your game! A shit ton of the
of the beauty of the artwork is missed by having to rush through all content.)
5. Playing PoE would be less stressful and more enjoying to not always be worrying about racing.
(Like if you can't get through 10 acts in < 48 hours you're playing wrong or badly. That
kind of viewpoint is sad that PoE is in this position where speed is the only way to play.)
6. GGG wouldn't lose a ton of new players due to the "git gud or git out" mantra. New players
have enough PoE information to learn without the added pressure of creating the perfect
speed build in order to succeed (at least a level 90 build).

The thinking at GGG as seen from the Chris Wilson / ZiggyD Incursion video is that since Bestiary was a bust for many (from netting/sacrificing mechanics causing slowdowns) it is best to go to the opposite extreme and force all to play super fast (incursions are time limited and can only be extended by rapid killing... "spilling more Vaal blood") so I see no desire at all by GGG to limit total hours allowed to be played per day.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

What annoys me about these XP nerfs is that if you want to get to 100 then you're pretty much FORCED into one very specific atlas strategy and nothing else. There's just no other options, no middle ground. You either do it in the most min-maxed fashion possible or you never do it. It's not a long term goal at all.

Gratz but I hate this style of play. like 1000 lvl 11 maps in a row for a level in high 90s. Game just feels lame like an arcade shooter at that point. That peeps watch these streams of that monotony is even more sad.

My goal are to build a well rounded character who can beat all content and clear reasonably fast. Once thats done I "won" the game and done until next toon. I will rarely farm two maps in a row let alone 1000 shaped underground rivers in a row. You can hit 93 never repeating a map and thats good enough for me.

Yup. Players shouldn't be able to "easily" lvl to 100, by playing the same two or three shaped maps with good density/harmless boss. Time to make those T15+ more rewarding, with XP scaling off map mods and extra XP for boss kills.

Loooool but on a serious note,
Why are these players NOT excluded from this race??? I mean, as if ANY1 has a real chance again streamers?? WHy not just give them the item and let the rest race for it? THis was/is the only reason i never race.....

Streamers, unfortunatly, are like cancer 2 this game, they RUIN everything because GGG only looks at them :(
