The player stole my loot
" In-game trading system implemented by GGG is using partying as a core element of trading. Implementation of trading in PoE is awful and situations like this one is another example of this fact. retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination
(also poe2 bad) |

Well i just got scammed too.
I wanted to buy 2.500 pc for 25c, then player named [Removed by Support] joined my map and bought perandus manor map from cadiro (around 90c).Obviously i reported that guy but i doubt if GGG will do something about the fact he stole my stuff.I really feel like a victim the more so there won't be any punish for these kind of people. Not cool. It's interesting that you refer to it as "stole my stuff" (emphasis mine) when the item literally is Cadiro's possession, not yours, and you didn't have the currency to acquire it from him.
Regardless, this has happened every single time Perandus is part of the game, and poe.trade shows you a warning about it when you want to find a trade for Perandus Coins (and, currently, nets). There are ways to prevent this from happening, and if you have a situation on your hands that could be taken advantage of, consider if you want to take precautions. Personally, if I'm in the middle of a high-tier map or something, I leave the party as soon as the other person enters my hideout, precluding them from being able to enter my portals. Note that I'm not excusing the player's behaviour in any way whatsoever - they were a dick for taking advantage of the situation. At the same time, this specific situation is one where that can be avoided. Lastly, if your sense of victimhood is tied to whether someone gets punished or not, well, that's an interesting viewpoint, but it seems like a bad position to take. Especially if your position includes doubt as to whether GGG would do anything about it. |

Wait, what? I'm actually curious how can someone steal your loot by coming to your hideout for trading. I'm a newbie and I watch a lot of streamers that trade all the time and no one has stole anything from them by coming to their hideout, so are they doing something different?

" I have traded hundreds of times, and this is the first time that anyone went into my map. Usually, portals are opened in regular maps, and there is no point in entering them. In my case, the map was expensive, so they went into it. They knew that expensive things were on it. As I found out, there are several ways to protect yourself from this kind of theft 1. Block your map device with decorations, but this is inconvenient 2. Kick player from party, when he got to your ho. He is in ho, and u can trade, but he cant go to the your map, coz u kick him from party. Last edited by Postoret#5401 on May 16, 2018, 7:20:07 AM

" Or 3. Isn't it the best to just have the map completed before you go and trade with someone, so that even if they decide to sneak in the device, there will be nothing left to steal? |

" I do not know about you, but when the deal cost is more than 1 exalt I throw everything i do and run trading :D |

" That's ridiculous. It's completely your own fault. Also the last line shows that you need to grow up. Nobody can protect you from yourself. |

if you wanna trade and don't want the trading partner coming to your hideout to be able to access your map portals, just buy 4 big bookshelves (hideout decoration) from elreon and place them around your hideout's waypoint.
there is no skill to pass them currently. open just one front to access the waypoint if you play normally age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
