Why hide itemlevel (not req. itemlevel) ???
|
Is there a game design reason for hiding the itemlevel of items, so you have to write /itemlevel to see what the actual level of the item is? I just dont get it, its such a hassle.
Yes, i saw other topics about this, but i decided to make a new one with better thread title so maybe someone at GGG actually sees it. Last edited by Synergy1337#6251 on Feb 28, 2013, 2:35:28 PM

It introduces more screen clutter when hovering over items if they begin to place more information on a basic hover. I like the way it is now.

it would be nice if it were visible when looked at in the inventory

" Lol, then just make it show up when pushing "alt" or something. If GGG really cared about screen clutter, they would merge more affixes on items and make them more noob friendly. I just dont get why this have to be so difficult, everyone ive talked to think its annoying. Last edited by Synergy1337#6251 on Feb 28, 2013, 3:06:22 PM

alt does work.. when in trade screen..
if you want GGG to see it, perhaps maybe put it in the suggestions forum, you know.. where they look for suggestions.. Things with "increased" and "decreased" in the tooltip are additive ... where as "More" or "Less" are multiplicative ...

I definitely think they should add this feature. It's pretty annoying at the moment.
Required Level definitely doesn't tell the whole story. |

" It would be nice to have the option, that way people like me who only care about item level can display the item level and the people like you who think it would over complicate and clutter an already cluttered screen wouldn't be forced to play the game the way I play it. For f sake though, the item level is beyond important for crafters which is what the entire economy is based around, if you don't think some kind of accommodations should be made for other play styles you're in the minority. Even if all you do is trade items the iLvL of an item is what can give it more or less value. Not having easy access to this statistic that's visible to anyone who wants to see the item level of an item at any time they come in contact with it leaves open the possibility for scams. I get not supporting the issue or caring, but this idea that I should be forced to play the game the way you like it should be something challenged on a regular basis. I don't play games the way you do and forcing me to play a game the way you want is wrong, let's agree to disagree and make it an option and move on with our gameplay, I don't want to /itemlevel every item in my stash and technically speaking the idea that anyone should have to do something so mundane with their own loot is beyond insulting to me as a gamer. Shouldn't you already know the ilvl of an item based on the area that it drops in, and what kind of monster (rare/unique/magic) dropped it? Or am I just confused?

Pretty simple, have ilvl in parenthesis next to the required lvl just like it shows for equip w gems in them. It would look just like this "REquired level 40 (68)" 40 to wear it, item lvl 68, not very hard.

" I'm not saying it would be bad to have it easier access, I'm just saying now is fine the way it is. " This...Thank you wade. 'It is good to contact a moderator if you feel someone is being a twat' Charan, Forum Moderator
