Do you really need to sextant block ??

Just been able to shaped all the maps to tier 15, I am just wondering if it is def necessary to sextant block, I've got a good pool of tier 8 maps and I am hoping just to build up a big pool of tier 9 and then progress like that, esp at tier 8 do i really need to sextant block ? I don't have enough one type of maps or enough sextant hence why i am asking.

To progress up the pool of maps.. Heard people are having a hard time gaining maps and going up the levels of pool of maps unless they are sextant blocking

It sounds to me like you’re unclear on what sextant blocking actually is. You don’t use it to build a big pool of T8 then a big pool of T9. You use it to improve the efficiency of applying sextants to the maps you want to roll extra packs on. The goal of the extra packs is to buff the shit out of one map, usually T10 or T11 and if you’re doing this you have your atlas shaped in a particular way, usually with no T11 or T12 besides your shaped maps.
It also sounds to me like you’re mapping in an OCD never run out of maps at the tier you want way. Your priority in the atlas should be getting the bonus on all the maps you want unlocked and from there run whatever maps match your strategy. My strategy earlier in the league for instance was to shape atoll, get shaper and elder fighting over it for a consistent pool of shaper and elder items(even with boss killing) and just sextant it for map sustain. I got bored and am trying to set things up differently now. |
