I like the idea, but stacking rare mods on a minion that is already as strong as several seems op. In any case, stacks shouldn't be applied at their full value, but something like Scorching Ray (actual number is subject to balance). Also, it might be difficult to balance duration for that effect, so a max stack count is probably necessary. I feel like I have to be careful not to say too much, otherwise even a revamp will be another nerf.
