Hit Detection Issues

I BELEIEVE I KNOW THR CAUSE OF THIS ISSUE AND WILL MAKE A DEDICATED POST LATER TODAY WITH VIDEO EVIDENCE.

The issue is caused by knock back. Most notably when you use the lions roar flask (since it grants 100% knock back on hit.) When a mob is knocked back it will immediately cause that mob to dsync with the client. When the mob is dsynced with the client it will cause the mob to show in a different place then it really is. This will cause you to cyclone where the mob is not actually located resulting in potentially you hitting nothing.

The only way for the monster to resync is when the monster either moves, or dies. For monsters that never move (the totem boss in atoll) they will be permanently dsynced until you kill them if you knock them back.

The solution until it is fixed? Remove ALL sources of knock back, specifically stop using lions roar.

It's not exclusive to knockback. Throw knockback on frost blades and you'll land most of your hits. The issue looks like a desync between visual location and actual location. The character swings at the visual location while the actual damage swings at the actual location. So frost blades rarely misses cause the range is enough to reach from where it sent your character to the actual location of the enemy.

I've found that the desync makes any melee ability with splash/ancestral call/multistrike unplayable. Throw in knockback and it's truly impossible.

I haven't tested spells or projectile abilities, but this definitely affects all melee skills.

I agree, I have had it happen with Sunder, when I was trying to attack from a distance (like I do on PC). My character looks like their Sunder is hitting, but it does no damage, until I move and re-position.
I feel like we need any word on that issue, because having Lion's Roar flask being useful just for 1,5sec before enemy (usually boss) will start desynching is upsetting.

I'm not entirely sure what it depends on, but 100% of times whenever I use Lion's Roar and boss CAN BE KNOCKED BACK it causes desynch after 1-1.5sec of hitting the monster, and the monster ends up teleporting to random place on the screen, it drives me crazy.
