[3.24]💥Lahkesis Queen of Chaos"Essence Drain/Bane"[LowLife] 💥💥

Using Ichigo's PoB, at any point before taking Withering Presence, the tooltip says that allocating Chaos Mastery actually decreases damage. Is it a PoB bug for negative resistance or does it actually work like that in-game?
As I progress through the acts and make adjustments to follow the guide, it seems to be all over the place with bits and pieces from older versions, especially when it comes to leveling.

Is the PoB link (https://pastebin.com/stkHE1bQ) the current definitive version for this league, including skills and items?

I don't want to be following obsolete parts of the guide and end up wasting resources! I haven't played ED/Contagion/Bane in ages and I didn't really look at any other guides for more than a minute before choosing this one. So I am not really up to speed with the ED and curse meta and I won't be able to tell if I am doing something wrong until it is too late. That's why I am asking early :)

Current status: I walked through the acts easily, and after spending 10c to replace some of my trash gear - cap my resists and get a real shield - I started mapping. I only use ED on bosses and buffed up mobs, as everything else just explodes with Bane (two curses for now).

All in all a very comfortable and safe build all the way to mapping. At level 73, half of my gear is from Acts and my armor is 4L. No uniques yet. I don't have my final ascendancy (Malediction) or the Vaal skills, and there are a couple of skill gems left to include, but white maps just melt to Bane as is. There is still a lot of potential with the switch to ES, low life & Pain Attunement, and of course cluster jewels.

This might be just me, since I haven't played a CI/LL build before, but I like that I don't see the equivalent of dumping everything into life clusters past a certain level that other builds have. Every branch of the passive tree seems to have an endpoint for a reason, balanced between offense and defense. I also like how it doesn't have common staples like CWDT Immortal Call or charges.

My only criticism so far is that while the build is great, the way it is presented is not very friendly to newcomers to the game or the class. Some careful juggling of stats is needed near the end of the campaign and the start of mapping in order to have the stats needed to level up skill and support gems, and also enough mana to be able to use skills after reserving for auras.

I spent a passive point on Life Mastery - Vitality 100% efficiency until I get better gear, that solved any mana problems for now and I can still use all the auras (Malevolence, Clarity, Vitality, Tempest Shield and Determination - armour is not the focus at this point but it helps while rounding out gear). But the transition from life to ES to CI to low life and life reservation will require some careful planning ahead. I am sure that less experienced players will find it hard to navigate.

My recommendation would be to provide more detailed steps and advice for levels 70 to 90: gem level and stat requirements, mana reservation and spell cost, when to switch passives.

My other recommendation is to clean up the guide itself in the first post. There is a huge amount of obsolete information. There are a lot of references to skills and gear that are not used in the current build. The showcase video does a good job of presenting the build, so combining that with the parts of the post that are still relevant should result in a good and up to date guide. The early leveling notes in the PoB look good too, including the reminder for the Arcane Surge levels that I keep forgetting every league :D

Lastly, the stats in PoB work for level 100. The mana and life reservation in particular don't work without the full second cluster jewel tree & anointed Charisma. I think minmaxing for level 95 is a more realistic reference point for most players. Even though you have multiple level 100 characters, most of us won't ever get there!

Please take all this as just someone's opinion on how to improve a few things for newcomers, if you have the time and if you want to (and if you aren't already working on improvements). The build is great and there is a lot of work in it, the guide, the video, and the PoB.

I'm level 89 and having a good time with the build but I'm not sure about some things in the POB.

You've got so many auras in the build that POB has the build at a negative health and mana pool. You have clarity, Zealotry and Arrogance all combined in weapon 2 (the shield), but I don't see how that isn't using more than 100% of your health.

The POB is a little hard to understand because while you do have multiple trees for different levels and life versus low life, you've only got 1 set of skills and 1 set of gear.

** Edit
Well I understand at why the health and mana reservation levels were negative in POB now. The skills you have in there are for the level 100 low life build, and are valid using that skill tree. But that doesn't help me at level 90, trying to shoehorn even more auras into this build.

Question for the hungry loop contagion ring, is the damage from contagion significant with damage supports? i was thinking of adding faster cast instead
