Grats! I have a masters degree too but I don't use it. Luckily college here is almost free (if you ignore the opportunity costs of not working) so I don't regret it. Also have some great college memories.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

strange country where chances on advancing in life depend on some kind of lottery ticket system where only certain individuals win. that's definitely not how the founding fathers imagined the american way of life. a economic system would profit so massively from giving every capable youngster the chance to learn according to his capabilities. i'm glad that i'm in europe where this economic principle is reality, there are no study fees for making your master degree, even for foreigners. offline Last edited by cronus on May 4, 2017, 6:45:12 PM

" There's nothing wrong with that :) There are tons of skills you can develop and tons of value you can provide without a college degree. Or, if that's not your gig, they say that ignorance is bliss, and you are free to pursue happiness by that avenue as well ;p At the risk of being self-centered and also making myself vulnerable to stalking, I'm pretty excited about the side benefits, specifically the assistance they should be providing in finding a nice internship. Never really used any of the stuff I learned at uni directly, but having done a couple of degrees, the pieces of paper alone made it a lot easier to get jobs and level up the paygrades. ... also being a student was quite a lot of fun, glad it is over and could not be fucked with exams anymore, but deffo enjoyed my time back then. have fun! :) |
