Well with most things in poe nothing is clear so I did test it for 10 mins to be sure with +1 chain it felt wrong for clear with 40% pierce added it s way better and now target s can actually get hit twice if they get pierced first then chained.But I m sure now that they retain their pierce chance after chaining.So with +1 chain if they chain they can keep piercing but not chain again.
