Paying to beta test something just seems wrong to me, especially as my profession & QA experience makes me likely to put back far more than I take.

You never know though, maybe the game will impress.

Having said that I'm a rather skeptical of the free2play model they've adopted. It seems likely that the game will be geared to optimize foot-fall, take-up & pay2win(aka casualized) rather than focusing on depth of mechanics.

Not unlike the direction D3 appears to headed :(
