I think you guys need a bit of good ol' Vorici off-color rolling shenanigans.
https://youtu.be/NrqcD8dYoSE TLDR: The Vorici socket number recipe doesn't modify the existing sockets in any way, just adds new ones. You can use this to roll three and four off-color sockets on gloves, boots and helmets at a significantly lower average cost than the standard method using chromes and vorici gem color recipes. You have to be realistic about these things.

You know how sockets link? (Where the links are?)
Good. Top left is first socket, bottom right is 6th. Vorici bench works as follows: # of new sockets > # of current sockets: Add new random sockets to current ones. # of new sockets < # of current sockets: remove the highest sockets. Is a good way to get 4 off colours on boots or something. (still costs 200-300 Jewelers, but it easier than the chrome method, for example getting 2r and 2g on something like rainbow strides costs an average of 800 chromes.) Jeweler method: 1. 2 sockets. (1 Jew.) 2. 1r 1g (15 Chrom.) 3. 3 sockets (3 Jew.) 4. 3rd socket r or g? Y: => step 5, N: 2 sockets (1 Jew.) and => step 3. 5. 4 sockets (10 Jew.) 4. 4th socket correct? Y: => DONE, N: 3 sockets (3 Jew.) and => step 5. |
