Thats because if people have not figured it out yet BV Pathfinder isn't as OP as everyone thinks.. Everyone sees the shaper facetank videos but people simply dont post all the random ass deaths from general mapping that occur when running BV on anything. Its a SC build at best unless you really invest a shit ton into defenses and flasks to keep you alive and even then its basically a melee spell. and we all know how well melee does.
BV Pathfinder is strong and can do all the content but when you see one doing these crazy videos it would be alot more fair and give a better idea of the build if they would show the /deaths at the end.. So people could get a better idea of just how good the build isn't... I dont consider a build that dies to the most random shit but can do certain boss's like shaper to be well rounded which good builds are well rounded not one shot ponies.

Thats why a knee jerk nerf might not be the best thing yet everyone is screaming for it just like they were COC... all it does it destroys more build diversity. Which is already at an all time low compared to just one year ago. The COC nerf still didn't get rid of discharge spam builds but it did get rid of an entire roster of builds that were not even the problem... Much like a Pathfinder nerf will do.. BV will still be broken somewhere else.

There's NOTHING wrong with face tanking shaper if your gear is like pretty fucking expensive.

The lab is "a different game". Vaal Pact => no regen => not so hot vs traps => requires player skill to get through. This works in SC. But in HC it just takes one lag or screwup vs traps. There are better builds than insta-leech BV for that.
