" I think your open mind is tremendously narrow. People react negatively to most changes (nagative and positve), but they adapt and end seing why that change as been made. Creating an offline mode would be a step back. It's not hypocricisism, it is only your narrow open mind. Last edited by PureLaine#3024 on Feb 20, 2013, 3:38:35 AM

" Well I know that. I just want to explain that people want an offline mode not because they don't have internet. |

" Oh, I could care less about offline mode... Hell I made the same case as the first person I quoted, when people bitched about D3 being "online only". I agree it's 2013, if you can't be online while playing a game, move outta of Somalia. Oddly enough though, the reason we get these asstastic desyncs is because of the certain people who generally bitch about offline mode, because their current location offers them atrocious latency to places in the world that 99.9% of game's servers are hosted. And those people who generally lead the charge, oddly now backstep, and act like PoE's online experience is filled with puppies and sunshine. I personally don't like playing "offline"... I mean I can't stand TL or TL2... I did enjoy the hell outta of TQ/TQ:IT though... Weird. But anyhoo... I have 0 issues with no "offline mode" if the actual "online" works. Non-stop desyncs, ya, that don't work. Last edited by StinkFinger#4623 on Feb 20, 2013, 3:47:57 AM

" ...and you know that how that these are the exact same people? Great mind reading skills? Universal IP controlling tool? Scientific survey? Yeh, thought so... Edit: Their entire business model depends on this game running online and doing so uncompromised. People, that is so easy to understand. Last edited by Burgingham#3085 on Feb 20, 2013, 3:55:15 AM

" I think, because it was advertised as an MMO, people aren't complaining. D3 wasn't and, as D1/D2 die hard fans, this was frustrating. Also, it seemed the only reason they omitted offline mode was to push their AH's. Probably that wasn't the case but perception and all that. I'm on who would like an offline mode, but this game is an MMO, and so I don't see a reason to complain about it. It's not a complaint anyway. I play solo, or with family. Online does us no good. I'm basically playing offline, but with an internet connection, and I'm having a lot of fun. I actually enjoyed TL2 quite a bit. So did my friends and family. It's just preference, but I think there are more people would use this feature if it was made available. But don't confuse that as people screaming for offline mode. For my part, I'll play this till Grim Dawn or something along those lines, is released, and I'll have a lot of fun play PoE until then. :) |

Actually the good reason why I want that game to be offline mode, is to play at owork on dinning time and break time... yes they have internet connection at work but it's close so people are not able to go on it.
I will be welling to buy the game 40$ just to have an offline mode. and it's not because we are not in 1990 that all game need to require a connection to the internet seriously -_-. If I dont want to speak with everyone and I want to be able to e alone in my little world its me ok... |

I'd pay for a offline mode as well, or more likely an offline version.
My main reason being that with loot drops the way they are I'm not going to PUG, which leaves me with solo or friends. I mostly solo, so online serves little purpose, but does have a number of down sides, disconnects being the worst. There are also lag spikes, which leads to 'teleporting' mobs (or worse, your character) and just a generally poor ping (~300 in Australia), which can lead to near instant death when you get rushed by a pack of fast movers. I can understand that they would want to keep their server code safe, and hey, it's a free to play game in the absolute best sense (even more bank space than GW2 :/), so I can hardly complain, but it would be oh so very nice.
