edit : sometimes i wonder to myself, how many people would actually survive if they had to slaughter and prepare their own food in this society.

Not many. We've at a point where the distinction between an individual in society and a cell in a larger organism is quite blurry. One of the definitions of a separate living organism is an entity which can survive on its own in the environment.

Humans will adapt to anything basically, the human count won't be zero on the planet unless we get nailed by some rock flying through space, or deplete the planet of resources and decide to abandon it to travel to some cool No Man's Sky planet we found.

Apparently they discovered a potential candidate only 4.2 lightyears away after 16 years of research.

Promising mass and climate.

Okay so thats the point... Filmmakers go out there to film animals suffering. Violence sells. So to speak are the people watching animals suffer psychopaths? People that watch an animal get eaten alive by hyenas...

Did you know that a tale tell sign of someone being a psychopath is the enjoyment of seeing animals suffer?

Wouldn't a psychopath feel indifferent to the suffering of others whereas a sadist would enjoy it?

Not an expert but AFAIK psychopath = greater chances of being a sadist. They aren't indifferent or emotionless, they lack empathy and a sense of morality. Also, although generally not the most pleasant of people, they aren't all serial killers or monsters as portrayed in the movies. Around 1% of the population are considered to be psyhopaths and some of them are well integrated. Their lack of empathy actually helps for some professions like medicine where you could go nuts from being in contact with human suffering day after day. Not saying it's all sunshine and roses, some of the most fucked-up people out there are psychopaths, but everyone should be judged on their actions, not on a label.
