Random tiers.

How? Look again. Not total randomize. T15 (core for example) still are only T15 map. Only low level tier maps would be higher tier maps.
Actual T1 can be t1+, actual T2, can be T2+, actual t5, can be t5+

Yes thats the issue, you can't possibly make a tier 15 tropical island challenging as the boss is basically a big ape or any of the easy bosses from lower tiers are basically pushovers.

Make boss stat scaling quadratic with tiers above the base tier for the map, instead of linear like the monsters.

Then, give boss mods that are always active a certain number of tiers above their base (maybe by +10 tiers they could all have knockback immunity and onslaught, for instance. This would help a lot with the melee-only bosses like tropical island ape).

Boom. done.

Not saying this precise thing would be the best fix, but I'm saying that if you can't imagine possible fixes then you're not trying at all.

Its not "boom done"

Its essentially asking for all boss tiers to be balanced for all tiers above it, effectively increasing the bosses by a great number.

Knockback immunity, EleGiggle

I can't imagine it being worth the effort of having to basically touch each tier boss times all the tiers above it, just so you have more variety.

That doesn't fit the theme of divination cards at all. They are assigned to zones like outside or inside, or whatever property has to due with that tileset. If they were assigned to tiers then the encouragement for doing an arsenal map and doing a shipyard is the same, where that isn't currently the case. What about lower maps that have cool div cards.

We have to wait to see what atlas has in store for us, but the mapping system is a very finicky thing too little\too much changes can offset the balance very poorly.

So you can still farming t1 maps but additionaly you have possibility to farm this same div cards at higher tier maps.
This is new possibilty. This change doesn't block any old possibility for farming. Only gives new one.

Sure, we can make 1 map witoth any variety, and say "cmon it is fun".

Every changes that improve endgame and make game funnier, are worth some work.

Imho it is easier to balance tiers than making new ones.

It isnt attack in your person. Sorry if it sounds like this.

If the card is available on more tilesets or situations then it would more then likely need to be more rare in order to remain balanced, meaning that people that would otherwise farm a specific map for a card are punished because its made available to amps on that tier instead of being more focused on one particular map tileset.

You are essentially creating more tiers within the map system itself, every time a map would be available to a higher tileset that is like creating a new tier and reusing the tileset and boss, but creating a more challenging boss by adding new skills or forms or such.

The whole next expansion is basically focused on endgame. If I had to guess it could be an endlessly scaling endgame or it could be something similar to the frontier expansion idea that was posted here, in either case it goes to show they want to improve endgame but TBH improving 1-15 tiers isn't going to do shit if:

A) people cant sustain red maps
B) people can shit on the bosses in all maps

Which is why focusing on an even higher endgame level of content might be what is needed.

Secondly when people suggested this in the past how to do determine what map is what tileset, for example lets say its a tier 10 map, does it drop as a tier 10 ledge or does it wait to tell you what map until you activate it? There are issues either way, but I'd like to here which you think is better.
