Is it still worth buying Diablo 2?

Probably not the best place to ask this question but then again there isn't anywhere else I would get a straight answer than here and quickly aswell.

Do people still play it online? well what is the online and the end game like?

I NEVER played either D1 or D2 my early glory years was spent playing thousands of hours of Street Fighter 2 and 3 in the Arcades. I was not fortunate in those days to have a PC growing up.

But I just wanted to know is cheating a thing in D2? like how do people get their items do they run cheat software and just enable all max stats?

Or do they run botting software?

I am NOT a fan of games with hackers. I can get D2 for $5

It's well worth it just for the solo play through alone.

Alright since I never experienced it I will pick it up for the $5 and have a go. I keep hearing its the identical same game as POE but I doubt D2 has a skill tree like POE.

Amazingly the graphics in D2 looks pretty good even by today's standards. I guess thats the benefit of amazing Artwork!!

I have been watching a video this guy posted a month ago of a assassin build

Just looking at it makes me want to play it. lol

I looked at graphics once on utube and laughed. NTY. Titan Quest was my first game like this and I really loved it maybe you should try that? Many mods too to customize game.

I have the full Titan Quest game for some reason I hated it because of how bright it was.

However I have Grim Dawn and I like it.

But my reason for Buying D2 is because its the grand master of ARPG and its supposedly the identical game as POE. Since I was informed that POE is infact a carbon copy of D2.

While its true modern graphics are Awesome, I totally dig the graphics in D2. D2 has amazing Artwork that stands the test of time. I may play D2 for a solo experience see what all the hype is about it.

Chris Claims to be a Diablo 2 hardcore nerd, so my guess is it has to be good. The graphics look fine to me, this video might change your mind it starts looking better when you get better builds.

I see Blizzard released a Windows 10 64 bit patch for d2 recently, thats actually impressive given how old the game is.

Till this day d2 has an amazing atmosphere... Loot system has yet to be challenged. Besides PoE no game has come close to staying up till the morning hours. Damn shaco...

D2 is well worth it, although in my honest opinion in shadow of modern games it's not worth playing extensively. Some still do, and go crazy on mods(that alter the game to a large extent), but in my opinion a game like PoE simply due to being more modern and having a more active and fresh community is a better playing experience.

How do people get their items? Botting is rampart in D2, big big time. Like if it's still going the way it was endgame for example consists of various bossruns like the expansion boss "Baal", there will be games hosted by bots you can join that will teleport for party with maphack, place portal at bossroom and everyone can leech xp/loots(this is true loot pvp first to loot gets it). Then the bot leaves the game and you join the next it hosts with some X number +1 for the next game. It's quite funny and you can chitchat to the other leechers etc.

Worst thing is on Bnet its spam from various fucking RMT sites and its way annoying. In whispers. Not sure if they fixed haven't played for at least a year.

But the whole bot effect = items are affordable even if you don't bot yourself is a part of the experience and i personally don't mind. It is mostly the spam that gets me.

You can also just play single player or just online and mostly by yourself if you just want to enjoy the game like that and it is still a great experience. Definitely a must try for a true ARPG head. That game is legendary and no arpg has matched it's greatness relative to it's time. Also offline you can use graphic mods so you don't have to use the 800x600 format etc.

buy it. complete it. get mods for it.
applies to both D2 and Titan Quest.

for D2 one mod especially: Median.

warning: may get you addicted for years.
Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat
Shadow: That was fun
Iwould suggest playing Diablo I first. It takes maybe few hours to complete
