you want play a build which is based around one specific unique without uniques? not sure if i understand your question right, but yes you start as everyone without unique items and you can do some dmg even without the FACEBREAKER, but you should hunt it in trade asap for 1c which is nothing and can be ez be optained.

its average, not slow but far from fast

About clear speed - this build isn't the best for that (you really need to have the Vaal chiefs up to get some good clear). For bossing though this is legit the best build I've played. I farmed the shit out of Atziri with this build.

What should we replace the fortify gem with? Considering that we can't get any fortify anymore unless our totems are doing it

same problem here , i play always in HC so fortify was very helpful :(
