Elemental Conflux + 100% chance to "status ailment" or crit

during Elemental Conflux(EC) you apply chill, shock and ignite.

if you crit do you always apply all 3 status ailments?

with EC ailment duration is still calculated normally,
but what if you use an item that has 100% "status ailment" chance?

for example:
"call of the brotherhood": "Your spells have 100% chance to Shock against Frozen enemies"
you freeze an enemy with a cold spell, not enough damage to shock/ignite.
will the enemy be shocked by the 100% chance from the item?

thanks in advance

During EC all hits chill shock and ignite, you don't need to crit at all. Also, for the calculation of effect duration you consider ALL damage (if you are doing more than 1 element of damage) with EC active.

Now, for the status effect to actually apply, you have to do a minimum amount of damage related to the mob max HP, this has nothing to do with status chance. If you have 100% chance but don't do enough damage to have the effect stick to the mob then you won't freeze/chill/shock. Ignite is the only one that doesn't need a minimum damage.

a crit(without elemental conflux proc)will apply a single status ailment; the one corresponding to its damage type.
As Adser said, the duration of the effect is based on the damage % that specific element did to the target.
If that ends up being 0 seconds, you don't benefit particularly much.
Normally, you need a minimum duration for the effect to apply at all, but I'm not sure that's still the case with EC.
Given you ask if it works even without that damage type, it's of no concern, anyways.

Conflux still respects the minimum duration rules. It's much easier to hit the minimum threshold of course, what with all of your hit damage counting towards duration :P

Call of the Brotherhood always applies Shock, but with zero Lightning Damage and no Conflux, it applies Shock for zero seconds.
