well we know that CWDT need a specific damage threshold in order to pop the linked spells,and that threshold goes up each time CWDt lvls up,which is needed to support higher spell gems,up to 3580 damage at lvl 21 CWDT,and our engine for that would be this magical 1 alchemy ring

while using 2 setups for it which are
Summon skeletons(lvl 1)+ spell echo(max lvl)+ faster casting(max lvl)
CWDT (lvl 1) + summon skeletons (lvl 1)
now your first summon skeletons with spell echo will summon 4 skeletons,now u're at the maximum number of skeletons allowed,when you summon again,the 2 summoned skeletons will make your first 2 summoned skeletons die,dealing you 350x2 physical damage and furthur reaching the threshold of your lvl 1 CWDT ,which will summon another 2 skeletons,making 2 other skeletons die and taking damage again,as you see,some soort of loop will happen,all these skeletons dying are enough to reach a high lvl CWDt damage threshold and popping the linked spells,in short,this is how the build works



How to Sustain taking all that damage while surviving

ALL HAIL ASCENDANCY and the great witch occultist,which has been designed perfectly for this build
Wicked ward: +100 maximum energy shield,energy shield willnot be interrupted by damage if energy shield recharge began recently(4 seconds)
energy shield recharge begins after 2 seconds of not taking damage ,the formula is
S=200/100+r
where S is the time needed to start the recharge whilenot taking dmg
r is your faster start of energy shield recharge modifier
while using few uniques that buff this up like

2x

and essence surge tree point that gives 15% faster start,we reach a total of 205% faster start of energy shield modifier
S=200/100+205
S=0.65 seconds,aka you kite for 0.65 seconds and your energy shield will keep recharging for 4 seconds despite taking damage

Vile Bastion:0.5% energy Shield regenerated per second for each enemy killed recently ,immunity to stun while on full energy shield

another energy shield regeneration method that enables us to further more sustain taking damage

Forbidden power:10% chance to gain a power charge on critical strike,+1 maximum power charges
at first i thought these 10% are really low,but bcaz of the fact we are using 10 spells ,and that 10% rolls on each alone,it is assured that it procs,with just this node,i'm always capped at power charges,all the time easily

Lots of options,i myself go for Discpline+purity of elements to ease up the res capping so i can focus on getting high es gear,you could use grace or blasphemy elemental weakness,lots of options there


Pros

you look like Abaxoth on cocaine,nough said

You freeze,shock,ignite,and can poison if you want too

you deal fire,cold,and physical damage,so resistant mobs aren't a problem,you are versatile with your damage

Althoughu're a Ci build,you can do blood magic maps,just use elreon ring and ammy,and u're summon skeletons will be 0 mana cost and that's about the only thing u use with mana

insanely survivable,16.5k ES at lvl 85 and nodes left are mainly ES, gonna get 20k soon,along with the huge Regeneration from Zealot's oath and recharage and occultist ascendancy.





Cons

No regen maps,you will have to depend on ES recharge alone,you can do it,but will take tons of time,nope i don't recommend.

watchout when doing sth with vuln.you will take more dmg from skeles dying more than norma

FPS cancer,no 1 will party with you :(





How to Gear up

mainly you are trying to get as much ES on your gear as possible,caz more res equals more room to take damage aka more damage dealt indirectly

Aim for something with high ES ,Int preferred for more ES and res,the more links the better

as i've tested many things,death harp proved to be the best having this huge 150% global crit multi,your other choice would be a Rare bow,with projectile speed and lots of resists to ease up capping

a must have gear piece,which is why we use a bow as a weapon

High ES ,INT preferred and res for capping


Gloves

Voidbringer is just BIS,huge Crit chance up to 150%,very decent ES ,up to 216 i think,ES gained on kill which is great for this build up to 20,and the 80% increased mana cost doesn't hurt at all since we almost doesn't use any mana the only thing we use is a lvl 1 summon skeletons in a 3l setup-15 mana cost- ,also +1 lvl of elemental gems,ye i'll take that.
other options are
facebreaker for 90% crit multi
Atziri Acquity,will be good with ghost reaver and atziri promise leech,also has huge int which translates to ES
Maligaro's Virtuosity:crit chance and crit multi
Shadow and dust :crit chance,crit multi and rampage
Thunder first,added light dmg with socketed gems,would give not a bad boost to damage

Surgebinders:this is the one i prefer after voidbringer though,as we will be having 8 power charges and 3 frenzy charges,surge binders gives up to 21% elemental damage and 56% spell damage,which is shit ton,it is btr than voidbringer in terms of damage,though i prefer voidbringer for the defensives it also provide

6l Bow :CWDT + BladeFall + Flamesurge + Ice Bite + Ethereal Knives + Controlled Destruction (swap ice bite for Culling strike/blind for single target boss fight)

4l Gloves : CWDT + Glacial Cascade + Flame Surge + Ice Nova (swap ice nova for freezing pulse for single target boss fight)

4l Helmet : lvl 1 Summon skeletons + spell echo +faster casting + Discpline

4l Boots : lvl 1 CWDT +lvl 1 Summon skeletons + Purity of elements + Vaal discpline



at first when i started this,i wanted to just make the idea work,clearing dried lake with it was my goal,then i found it actually has great potential,i'm clearing maps t14,ez mode,did atziri and no problems found yet,and i believe it can do both core and uber,i am just waiting to get lvl 21 gems,notice you need lvl 21 CWDt to use with those.

this build will see shitty until you get high lvl gems,18+mostly,focus on getting your CWDt 20% quality,as it increases all the spells linked damage by 10%..hf and enjoy the fps cancer

Not gonna lie, the title bait brought me in. But I'm actually happy it did, because the build looks really interesting. A barrage of questions is incoming, please answer as many as you can:

And your damage output is limited by skeleton cast speed? How many skeletons are you killing per second (roughly)? Would double loop increase damage output?

Have you thought about going shield+skyforth+volls p+volls d in order to create powerful discharges? That would allow you to whirl around, use lower level cwdts (discharge doesn't really need L21), and instead use natural regen + ZO to counter the heartbound loop damage?

So as far as I understand you need to not cast skeletons for ~0.65sec before ES recharge starts? If you stop casting is this enough time?

What about movement skills or movement speed? 15k ES is nice but you gotta go fast in today's meta.

How did you pick the skills you ended up using? I did a CWDrinkingPotion build and ended up with 6L firestorm, 6L discharge, 2L arc, 2L blade vortex and 1L glacial casced. I found all the projectile based spells to be pretty bad.

first of all it wasn't a bait,u literally look like abaxoth on cocaine with all spells being fired :D
well goin by ur questions one by one.

around 19-20 skeletons are dying per second ,if i'm casting non stop,so that's about 7k dmg per sec,without counting in external dmg factors like takin dmg from mbs,that is enough to proc lvl 21 CWDt 2 times in a sec,a 2 loop would give dbl that dmg taken,enabling u to take enough dmg to proc CWDT 4 times a second,so all in all dbling ur dps,why i'm doing this is bcaz,i still don't have ghost reaver and some other es nodes,i also feel it's over kill at this time,so i'mnot doin it yet,there's also another way to inc the dmg taken without using another loop.

for the discharge thing,to use multiple discharges,they will have to be on different lvls of CWDt,so as to not proc together,and some with low number of charges,also,having skyforth boll's protector and all that,i think there will be many times where i'm capped in power charges but no discharging enough,caz bare in mind CWDT cd is 0.25 sec,s 5x more than CoC,i dont rly favor discharge much here

,about the recharge,ye if u stop casting u got enough time to start the recharge,also...i barely use that recharge ,my regen through Zo and ascendancy that gives 0.5% per enemy killed and consecrated ground potion is just enough to keep my es up all times,i just use that es recharge when i wanna go face tank a boss and not kite and stuff,it's no longer mandatory,it's an extra safe thing..

movement speed,tbh i did many things with insane clearspeed,at start i just wanted to make the idea work and care for it's efficiency rather than clear speed,i dont even have a golem in sockets :v ..gotta put them skills in them sockets :D ..so for u u can kinda remove a gem put blink arrow or sth like that,depends on ur taste..

oh boy the skills,i did many many variations with skills and support gems,that i cant go through now caz it wont ever end..but to sup them up..
Ball lightning bcaz it turned out to be the best shocking skill
arctic breath and fireball caz they can shotgun
2x flame surge caz it's the mvp,it deals 50% more dmg to burning targets but cant cause burning,fireball will take care of that through critting and it's implicit 40% chance to ignite..
glacial cascade,blade fall,ethereal knives,physical spells for bosses,good for single target,tried BV ,max was 6 up at a time,wasnt worth,linking poison wasn't worth too.
ice nova and for more aoe
fp through gmp,caz it has pretty decent range with the proj speed quality,so it can kill far ranged mobs with having to move to them,it's sth i have more like for fun..like i said controlled destruction instead of it would be btr for single target,just doin it for the abaxoth taste

as low life,you would be running more auras,like? mostly defensive stuff,grace enfeeble/temp blashpemy,or mb ele weakness as offensive,you don't rly need that it's not worth it,compared of having a much higher es chest with resists and the es nodes after ci +being immune to chaos,it's a huge bonus,the es on this build is mandatory,also u dont rly need to have defensive stuff,build is designed to take damage :D ..as for curses,you don't need any in trash,u can just have a gem slot for ele weakness or vuln or wl.e ur choice is for bosses.that's it ^^
