Constant 'An Unexpected Disconnection Occurred', MTR posted

This has been ongoing for the last several days, every 2-10 minutes of activity such as mapping in game. Never really had this or any connection problem consistently before, my PC's Win 7 64bit, internet connection is fast and smooth, doesn't disconnect for everything else, only POE.

EDIT: I keep getting lag spikes & then unexpected DC has occurred through either movements or running into packs, checked everything on my end (ISP, router etc.) found NOTHING. This has never happened and not gone away for this long for all the years I have played POE.

winMTR looks fine, can you run it for at least 15 minutes? preferably while the game is having disconnect problems?

can you access your maps after you reconnected?

I am having the same issue. There is some packet loss on my winmtr (http://pastebin.com/r88GyUAm) but the losses dont always correspond to the disconnects, and I have always had some packet loss issues.

Both of your WinMTR's look unsuspicious.
What is in the log file of PoE?
Go to your PoE installation directory, select the subfolder 'logs' and open client.txt for example with notepad and scroll to the time and date when your disconnection occured and post it here.

That is my log for today, the last half or so of that had the WinMTR running at the same time.

There is nothing there apart from the usual info messages and the disconnect messages.

That looks pretty awful in terms of disconnections, I feel your pain. Seems to be DNS based and looks like a routing issue. O2 (Telefonica) routes to the wrong server from networklayer. Same issue as some others are seeing. Only GGG or networklayer in particular would be able to solve this issue, your provider O2/telefonica can't route to the right server - packet loss...disconnect.
OK Duncan.

First line

192.168.1.1 - 1 | 730 | 725 | 0 | 2 | 994 | 0 |

1% packet loss...not major but would cause stuttering
More importantly almost 1000ms spikes.

The problems you are having are evident before it's even in GGG hosts end, have you tried power cycling the router?

O2, what a surprise. I cancelled my contract but here they have horrific rules about terminating contracts, I have to give them 6 months notice. I will be with a different company in july, and on a contract that I can quit any time (that costs a lot more). The packet loss is definitely because of O2, I have been dealing with it for months, it affects everything I do.

Thanks for checking into this issue, and please check whether the original poster is with O2 before considering this resolved. As far as I am concerned it is the result of the worst internet provider in the world and it will be resolved in july.

I haven't played much since, tested today and it's still happening, just doing Masters solo and not even in pubs.

yes, I can use other portals and do the same maps once I reconnect.

here's a new winMTR while I was playing and unexpectedly DC'd again.
