Different species actually. Oranges are a hybrid of the Pomelo & Mandarin Orange (The one you can peel) and eat in individual segments of 8 or more (10 pieces usually) The Orange is the one you usually jam into a juicer or slice into wedges to suckle on. I personally prefer Mandarin ones more since they're cheaper usually and come in sales especially during Chinese New Year here in Asia.
