Contagion does not spread Essence Drain Bug.

When using Contagion and follows up by Essence Drain, the killed monsters does not spread Essence Drain to other nearby mobs, it only spreads Contagion. This seems to only apply to small weak/normal/fodder monsters as some rare and unique monsters still spread Essence Drain just fine.

EDIT: From further investigation, it seems that monsters that died from the initial impact of Essence Drain will not spread Essence Drain while they are affected with Contagion. In contrary, monsters that did not die from the Essence Drain's impact, will spread Essence Drain normally through Contagion.

Yep, same issue. Makes the build very frustrating to play.

Same for me too. At first i thought it might be because of low lvl mobs doing ascendancies. Now at higher lvls it's still the same: most of the time contagion doesn't spread essence drain to other mobs. Contagion itself does seem to spread.

Please fix this as it's crippling the build :(

Edit: i'm getting the feeling that it's just one mob of all hit by contagion that's able to proliferate ED. It would explain the behavior i'm seeing with it working just sometimes.

Seeing as this is not in the patch notes and it was different before Ascendancy, it's definitely a bug.

I have a similar issue, if my Essence Drain kills the mob with the initial hit, it doesn't spread with Contagion. I'm pretty sure in Talisman it spread in this case.

its really horrible sometimes I have to apply it three times until it would finally spread!
