Should I play Blade and Soul?
It seems like a nice game, or is it?

In all ways except combat it's basically an MMO from the mid 2000's. Boring and stale questing with a meh story and cardboard NPCs. If you like PVP and Fighting games it's fun after a few hours of grind. If you don't like in-depth PVP combat it's not your game. Right now in the current patch it's not well balanced, and its behind by like 5 patches or something. But it's free so there is not much harm in trying aside from wasted time and HD space

I'm playing it atm, the combat is really fun it's like I'm playing Street Fighter. I also dig the cheesy typical Korean revenge martial art story.

" Looks like your main complaint is that it's an Asian MMO :D I get it, it's not for everyone. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" I wish every game was sexualized just so your feeble obsessed mind would miss them. "Im telling from experience, I'm rarely ever wrong." (lol), your kind does nothing more than whine while providing weak excuses. its ok, we get it, you are terribly uncomfortable with any kind of nudity/attractive bodies (obviously have personal issues) and must justify how pathetic that is by attacking anyone that has no problem with it by implying that they have it as focus, when anyone with a brain or some experience knows that what retains players is the gameplay itself (and in this case I understand its strong point to be PvP). eyecandy only ever matters to get some people's attention. underlined the part that sums your argument up. Dont blame others for your own shortcomings. You are only a slave to your own feelings if you wish to be. You are no different from those kids you hate. Now on topic: I tried the other day, what killed it for me was the difference of movement in and out of combat and how long it took to switch from both. (maybe there was a key and I missed it? didnt see it in keybinds though). the combat movement felt too stiff, no quick dodges on double "arrow" press, just walking slowly around target. eh, maybe MMOs arent for me anymore. The 2 timed skills didnt do it for me (not sure how long it would take to get more, was just on a beach after the prologue), played as an assassin and didnt feel I was stealthy at all, I've seen some vids and understand that later on you can chain skills to be more stealthy. but still didnt like how it felt. I believe some 3 days ago or so new servers were added, so if you wanna try the game and see for yourself if its your thing now its probably the time (as before people complained about queues). Oh, one other thing that i read in the forums is that for dungeons it has a bidding system for loot drop (players bid for the item, whoever wins the bid gets the item and the money is distributed to rest of players) instead of a dice roll. I see the system has positive and negative points, it is not your kind of thing better want to avoid this all together. (I think it prioritizes rich people way too much, not sure but think you could buy gold for real money which makes it pay to win) Oblivious Last edited by Disrupted#3096 on Jan 23, 2016, 2:21:51 PM

never said it was good advertisement or that I liked the game and I agree with your other problems with it.
What you obviously are unwilling to understand is that not everybody gives that much importance to it like you do. (be it negative or positive) Oblivious

Combat's really fun. Interactive and stuff. A lot more engaging than tab-targeting. The game is fairly good looking too.
The leveling feels really slow. The only fun part is that there are low-level dungeons in almost ever map. But even those get repetitive after a couple hours of play. Questing is your typical "Heyo, pick up those 5 pebbles. Yeah, the ones literally 3 feet away from me. What do you mean 'go pick them yourself'?". Gathering's pretty boring. A lot of it consists of finding a sample once and then ordering it from one of the two gathering guilds you chose to be a part of. If you really like PVP, I'd say it's probably worth getting into the game. Otherwise, not a really exciting game. You make my ochinchin go doki doki.
