Fatal Client Freeze

Froze, crashed, and froze two more times in a Terrace map. Fortunately, I managed to kill everything and collect all the rare items.

First freeze happened just walking around, no enemies on screen. Texture quality 5 (turned up to 30 for the rest of the attempt).

Crash happened when attempting to pick up an item. I had been picking up items just fine until then (except the one right before the crash, which caused about a second and a half of lag). Here's the report:

Next two freezes happened the next two times I picked up items.

After logging back in, I did actually have all three of the items that killed the client in my inventory.

(I'm starting to wonder if I should even bother to continue posting these. Is anyone looking into it? Is the information I provide helping? Because I can totally go play a different game if this issue isn't getting resolved.)
Froze again in a Zana daily with tar from Fetid Shamblers onscreen (arsenal with burning ground, kill corrupted monsters, touch standing stones for more time).
Crashed just walking around in a Jungle Valley map.

Froze four more times in the same map, faster each time. (Not even bothering to try the sixth portal, since I didn't even manage to see an enemy on the last three attempts.) Maybe some environments are unplayable? I had no problems on Zana's quest into a Pier map earlier tonight.
Zana's daily was a Jungle Valley. Froze maybe twenty seconds in (enough to kill two packs). I'd been fine for about a half hour before that, completing dailies for four other Masters.

There is something in Jungle Valleys that my computer does not like.
[edit]
Tried going back in; froze pretty much immediately.

Tried setting -gc 2 and I was able to stay in for about 20 seconds.

For some reason, -gc 1 freezes pretty much immediately, just as though the option weren't set.

Crashed twice. Fortunately, I had already fully cleared the maps. Also, no freezes. A definite improvment.

First was Zana's daily in an Academy (Beyond, Sea Witches).

My computer appears to dislike Village Ruin maps as well. Zana daily (touch lodestones, five minute timer). Soon as goat shamans appear on screen shooting Sparks at me, game starts stuttering (screen freezes for up to a second, then goes black, then updates). After three stutters, I manage to get far enough from the goats for the game to actually settle down into playability. I kill some spiders and blood apes (and most of the goats offscreen), tag two Lodestones, and the game crashes.

I start the game back up, go back into the map, and the entire computer freezes before I even get out of the ruined building I started off in. (Rebooting took longer than the three and a half minutes left on the quest.)

This was after I had already crashed once (Vorici daily in a Dread Thicket-type area when too many Blood Apes were attacking together).

[edit]
Crashed two more times in a Mine, once fighting Shriekers and once fighting Rhoas. May involve the fact I'm running Riposte, Reckoning, and Tempest Shield together, since I was surrounded each time. Both crashes are within a second of the same igfx error.

Uninstalled my video and audio drivers altogether, let Windows Update reinstall them for me.

Elreon's daily, I successfully defended his shrine. The resulting explosion crashed my game (assocated with "Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered." event)

Then I try Vagan's daily, killing dummies. I was winning 16-1 when he started groundslamming and my computer froze. By the time I rebooted, the quest had either failed or timed out.

Tried Vorci's daily: Kill target, all guards must survive; Sarn slums tileset. Swarmed by guards auto-casting Ethereal Knives. Screen blacked out for a couple seconds, came back for a tiny bit, blacked again, showed me dead, then froze the computer. When I log back in, the quest is timed out and I haven't lost any XP.

Increased the size of my paging file, went into the registry for my graphics driver and set TdrLevel=0.

Tried Zana's quest. Dungeon tileset, tar on ground, Kill corrupted monsters (specifically, cannibals throwing torches). Froze twice before I could get through the first pack.

Think I'm just going to give up on the game until I can afford a dedicated graphics card.
Disabled several startup items related to my audio system. Also uninstalled EAX Unified.

Completed Elreon's daily, then froze on the way out of his area.

Set the -swa flag (in addition to the -gc 2 I've been using).

Completed Vagan's and Vorici's dailies.

Attempted Zana's daily (Courtyard, burning ground, find ten lodestones in five minutes). Screen went black for a second about a minute in, froze after one minute nine seconds.

Going to try -ns tomorrow to see if sound is actually the problem.
Turning sound off didn't help.

Nothing I do helps.

I will not be posting or playing any more unless I get some useful advice.
