You need neither the 6-link +3 bow, nor the empower gem. The build works perfectly fine in a 5-link +2 bow and without empower.

I used 5L +2 bow and empower 3. it worked, got me to lvl 89, after much grind. the damage was insufficient for high tier maps tho, no matter how much I invested in scaling chaos damage. also, this build can't clear fast, we don't have any good movement skills with bows, we rely on flasks, and extra speed from flasks is not enough.
