Male Witch

There cant be a male witch, it got to be a wizard then.

nope, witch is far from wizard. Warlock would be closest, but maybe one could go with "witcher" (though i don't konw if that it a trademarked name) or simply stay with witch (witch-king of Angmar worked in LotR).

(It isn't that hard in german where most jobs have a feminine and a masculine form. we call a male "Hexe" a "Hexer")

If you allow both genders, it should be cosmetic only. Don't want the same as with the drow where you were forced to play as one gender just because the stats were better for your class.
(also, this could easily lead to gender stereotyping which is pretty meh and should be avoided)

As much as I would love the idea of being able to be either gender, it honestly doesn't even matter as long as the game is enthralling enough.

would of been nice if there was a male version.

considering that women and men alike were burnt half a millenia ago for "sorcery", i'd say there would not be problems with a male witch counterpart.
also if this wants to stay true to diablo tradition, diablo 3 is going to have sex choice, why not here too then? surely it's of minor importance, but it shouldn't be a problem implementing it

...you mean aside from the three months per class it'd take to get all the animations in for these alternatives?

I think they may add the different genders due to a lack of difference in the classes although it doesn't really matter one way or another to me.

I like the idea of a male witch i would prefer to play as a male but its not a game breaking thing as for the name im cool with mitch as its my irl name but mage is cool too
