Introduce yourself thread :)

Hi everyone, I'm Vandro. I'm an avid Hack & Slash / RPG gamer, having played almost every Hack & Slash game since Diablo 1. I like games that have PvP and I still duel in Diablo 2 for instance.

What I look forward to in Path of Exile is fun, randomized, skill focused combat (both PvE and PvP). I like completely random items, because I wan't everyone to look and be different etc and the gem system is for me one of the main pro's for this game.
Hi there, Krobua. Random name I made up a long ass time ago for... Diablo 2 Guild I believe and have used it since.
Diablo 1 was THE game to get me into gaming, and I've loved the style of games ever since, tried a few MMORPGS, but this one looks like its going to be better than the rest. Can't wait for to try it.
Hi! I am Subjektiv(there is a reason behind it, if you want to know, just ask) I'm a huge fan of anything with loot and the ability to customize your powers. I play it all though, from FPS to turn based strategy. Some of my favorite games are Boarderlands, Anything Final Fantasy (except VIII), the Shin Megami Tensei series, and of course the Diablo series.

Im also an electronic musician (screw your laptop, i rock a studio full of synths!) here in Austin, TX with the band Carbon Theory. check the website listed below for some samples!
yeah...i'm a wh@$#... www.carbontheory.com
Hey everyone, I'm Zephyroth, a name I came up with while making wind-specced monks in DDO, one of the many games I enjoy playing.

Like many of you Diablo 1 was one of the first games that hooked me in with its dark and doomy feel, I still hear the butcher saying "Ah, fresh meat!" and I have continued down a long string of similar games.

I'm looking forward to the releases of Diablo 3, Guildwars 2 and now Path of Exile!

Very proud and looking forward to seeing what my fellow Aucklander's have come up with as we don't have many high-profile games come out of New Zealand.
Hello,

my name is Lazy and im lazy.

i came here since i saw an article that basicly said "diablo 1 mmo". dont need much more convincing then that;)

as most of you, i played h&s games a lot..diablo 1 & 2, titan quest, sacred 1 & 2, nox,... basicly any action rpg i could find. and many mmo's as well..mostly asian ( free ) ones but still..
sadly, none fit the bill as much as diablo series so im _really_ hoping PoE is the best of both worlds.

in short, im a fan.

;)
lazy people are always eager to do something...

When they start grabbing people up for closed beta they will be choosing some at random from accounts and some from those involved on the forums. Introducing yourself here could help you get into the game to introduce yourself... :P
Well,I am Corax.I love dark mooded games. With a taste of reality in them. They're suppose to be unfair and hard, clouded and cruel.Next to diablo
theres nearly no game that could be just
as good.I'm having high hopes for this
one ;) !
He withdrew, himself wounded, and was compelled to return home inglorious, weeping - he who had once vainly hoped for the glory of a triumph.
I'm Loshi, and my name has a small history. Back in the days of Game Fan magazine, I was a regular in their IRC chatroom #GT_Tavern. One day I misspelled "Yoshi's Island" (yes, it was that long ago) as "Loshi's Island" and it kinda stuck. I eventually created an entire mythology about the name, claiming that Loshi was an omnipotent Toaster God who had complete power over reality insofar as it pertained to toasted bread products. This is because I tend to get silly when I'm bored.

I am also known as Captain Calzone, though the VERY few people who remember me by that name are mostly as old as me at least (32) and not online gaming dorks anymore. Still, I hold it as a point of pride that I hold the record for the most Psycho Letter of the Month prizes in the history of the old Electronic Gaming Monthly. Yes, you should pity me for that. It's kinda sad.

I love hack and slash games like this, as well as more traditional RPG's, FPS games on PC (using analog sticks to control an FPS game is like using a steering wheel to perform brain surgery) and strategy games like Civ. Also, give me a 2D Castlevania and I'm good for a month.

Diablo didn't make me a gamer (I've been playing videogames since I was 6) but it showed me a whole new type of game. D2, Titan Quest, and Torchlight have all showed me new corners of that type of game, and sometimes those corners have been doorways to entirely new experiences. I hope Path of Exile is as good as promised, since it would be a whole new corner to explore, and who knows what doors I might find?
