Give us a {CENSORED} configurable disconnect timer

Not all related to one another though. This thread would be better as a chat over some beers.

Char since you're in Chile why not take advantage of what it has to offer that other parts of world don't rather than insisting on playing an online game? Aren't there beautiful hiking opportunities? Good food?

Asumo que eres Chileno... Yo tambien soy Chileno y vivo en Santiago (LaFlorida), mi ISP es Claro y no tengo problemas de desconexiones en lo absoluto. Mi ping es en promedio unos 160 o un poco mas en malos dias pero rara vez tengo desconexiones... Mas de 2 años jugando esto y jamas he tenido los problemas que tu tienes xD

This thread has some in depth discussion but not all really directly related to the OP, which is why the threads are quite massive as I like to say as much as I can to cover the topic when I do reply.

A comment like he made not only is rude but doesn't offer anything to the discussion at hand. Do I respond in a lengthy manner to threads, sometimes as I feel I need to explain why or why not I agree\disagree with something.

I don't think i've recently just strait up said someone was wrong, but rather made an observation and told them why I think something is or isn't right. Despite what you and he may think I don't just say your wrong and leave it at that.

My signature invites people to send PMs to discuss issues with something I may have said. Sometimes the context in which I write might not be the one the other party is understanding it as and I would edit comments that were deemed rude. Funny enough only davidnn5 has sent me a PM, but that was months ago (far back enough that I didn't find it looking back many pages)

I live in Santiago, Chile, La Florida. My ISP is "Claro" and (in 2 years playing this) I have never had the problems that you've got. My Ping is 160 or a little more in bad days, but very rarely I suffer disconnections. The problem is your ISP and the sector, not something widespread in South America XD

Good food? Yeah, it does have Peruvian restaurants ;). Honestly, the Chilean cuisine is kind of unimaginative. Good sushi here, too.

As for hiking, I tried on Sunday and was refused to start my hike at 5:30 because "that is too early" and "the park only opens at 8AM" (the gates were open). At 8AM it was honestly too late and the (long) hike would have been too dangerous (also, maps suck pretty hard here). So I didn't hike. But you got a point, I maybe play this game too much, but that is only because it is a great game ;).

Anyways, thanks for your words.

As for the Spanish that was written here, my Spanish is good enough to understand that, it is just not good enough to have a conversation. I will be changing ISPs soon anyways (moving to another apartment), will see if that helps. Why we do not have a configureable disconnect timer is still beyond me.

Also, I am surprised that La Florida has better internet than Las Condes.

Ultimately I think its because they added lockstep mode and likely fell lower and lower on the priority list.

Recently I worked in Las Condes. The ISP was GTD Manquehue... Far, by far the worst I've seen in internet.
