Give us a {CENSORED} configurable disconnect timer
It is impossible to get stable internet in Santiago de Chile. At least I have never seen a stable internet connection anywhere here, at my home, work, or friends.
So I would be lvl 91 or 92 by now without FUCKING disconnect FUCKING deaths which stem from the fact that this FUCKED UP game is FUCKING unable to FUCKING keep a connection somewhat usefully (Skype and Teamspeak work, no problem). Like this, I just died again at level 89. To some stupid single trash mob that would never ever have killed me in normal circumstances. Disconnect, re-log, 10% XP gone. So why don't you give us a very simple, configurable disconnect timer, which already exists but is not configurable? Currently I think its 6 seconds, which is way too long. Problem 80% solved. Or just remove the stupid death penalty which penalizes people with bad internet connections. /rant over Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Instead of giving yourself a configurable timer which would inevitably lead to more disconnections (and very likely more deaths)..why don't you find out why you are disconnecting in the first place?

OP, if players are given some sort of option to change their disconnect time, you'd see...
1.) Players abusing it by setting it down very low, then manually disabling their network connection to get out of sticky situations and hence circumvent the Hardcore league, interfere with PvP stats, etc. 2.) And of course players seeking additional support when this new option doesn't work perfectly. "Give somebody an inch and they'll take a mile"... You might want to correct Internet issues with your ISP or your computer before pushing that responsibility onto the developers of an online game. Even cheap connections with low bandwidth should still have reasonable latency. " 1 isn't a problem, people literally already do this and it's not against ToS. 2 is also a bit perverse. It's like saying giving players the option to play at higher graphics settings will cause players seeking additional support. This feature is easy to understand, and people should be able to figure it out, or GGG could set it automatically by tracking a user's ping over time. Whether it's easy to implement, well it's not a hard problem. Just that each users time will have to be stored on the server and the server will have to keep track of latency for each user. And I don't speak Spanish, also, have you ever tried to argue with anyone in a South American country? No? Try it before giving such suggestions. And the solution I propose would be stupidly easy to implement. They could also just decrease the lagout timer globally to two seconds, after which probably most players would prefer a disconnect (I am not the only one to complain about that). That is, setting ONE variable. If that is too hard, they should probably take up another hobby rather than programming. Yeah, plenty of options to improve things. +1 for disc. timer - it doesn't hurt anyone but it helps some people
no high priority for me tho, maybe it could've saved me one time in 2 years up to now... but as said... it doesn't hurt either, give it a go. Have a problem with something I said? PM goetzjam don't derail a thread.

Significantly more than half of my deaths at level 80+, probably around 80%, are due to lags and disconnects.
