Profanity Filter?
If your company does not want profanity in character names, then why not put a filter in when creating a character name. I love the game, but my friend has had to change his name twice and has been threatened with a ban. It just seems like if you dont want profanity at least put a disclaimer in. Other than this small grievance, this is the most entertaining game I've played in years. Keep up the amazing work.

Personally, I think people should just deal. Through out life, you're going to run into things you find offensive; whether it's on the street, watching TV, or playing a video game sooner or later there will be something you find offensive. Just ignore it and move on.
If GGG decided they don't want profanity in user names, then yes there should be some kind of filter that prevents. If your friend got warned twice a threatened with a ban, it sounds to me more like he's trying to be edgy as opposed to just making a name he wants. That's just my two cents though.

Remember the Terms of Use both you and your friend agreed to when you signed up for the website and got that ability to download the game? It is at the bottom of this page in case you need reminding. The 'disclaimer' in that is very clear:
Usernames: Any username you choose in relation to your Member Account or as applicable any other identifier you choose for use in relation to your access or use of the Website, Materials and Services, may be viewable by other users of any of the Website, Materials and Services as applicable and you warrant that any such username or other identifier will not: (a) infringe the rights of whatever nature of any third party including without limitation copyright, registered and unregistered trade mark rights, rights of personality, privacy, confidentiality and any other intellectual property rights; and (b) contain foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature as may be determined by Grinding Gear Games in its sole discretion or otherwise be in contravention of any law or court order. The Templar kills for Faith - The Shadow kills for Money - The Duelist kills for Fame -
The Marauder kills for Pride - The Ranger kills for Survival - The Scion kills for Attention (Emo much?) ... and the witch... She kills for Revenge ... tbc |

" Well ok there may be a disclaimer, but a profanity filter would still save time for GM's and players. |

People not being retarded with names and communication in general would save even more time. Don't see that happening either, do you?

I'll say the following again -
I don't understand the reasoning behind disallowing rude / offensive name in a game with full frontal nudity. (b) Personal abuse, foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature ... are not permitted.
