Guild Wars 2 went "free to play" as of the other day

So, if you paid for the game - what kind of bonus stuff do you get now that it has gone free to play? I've always wondered what the pay off is for some poor bastard who laid down $20 - $60 the week before the game dev decides "Lets make this 'free'!"

:D me basically, got it about 3 weeks ago...do feel kinda shafted, particularly when it was announced without seeing the details...all i saw was that the core game was going free, essentially half the price of my purchase...which is why i was happier to see the restrictions.

Trying to download the game off my old GW: Factions arena.net account and getting all sorts of weird errors;

when I go to the download page it logs me out and asks for me to register.
If I try logging in it takes me to another part of the site
If I try to register it will give me an error that basically says that password is in use and you should use another password... if I use another password it says an error has occurred.


Am I supposed to not be able to use the same account?
Dont think it makes sense as it shows the game in game content tab.

EDIT: eh, 600 views thread in technical support forums with still no official answer =/
