[2.0] Boxsalesman SRS hybrid life/ES low budget - Insane damage

Build video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3VhueCDkac

This build combines both life and energy shield and a defensive line of minions to survive even the toughest of maps, with summon raging spirits to deal insane damage. That being said, no life regen is a map mod that simply can't be done, and blood magic will severely cripple the clear speed but can actually be done ( all aura's need to be turned off ). Luckily enough these two mods are very rare and almost never roll on a map.

Use Zombie with minion ele resists-minion life to tank for you

Use flame totem to tank and do damage.

Use firestorm linked with spell echo conc effect on top of your totem/zombies for damage.

Use a flame golem for the damage increase buff and to have an extra body doing damage.

- At this point you start preparing for changing to SRS, remove the 16% spell damage, remove the 4% cast speed node at the beginning of witch and start picking up minion nodes, this can be done earlier if you want, if you found a good +2 minion helm.

47 points left, after this you can easily change to use SRS as main source of damage

- Now we go towards all the aura reserve nodes, the order in which you do these isn't that important, but I like to take the dexterity route at the bottom right first, because we generally lack dexterity to level our gems ( use cheap + dexterity Haku master crafts to fix this while levelling )

At this point, the main part of the tree is finished, we now flesh it out by taking some more life/ES to get into the higher maps, and you can take up Elemental Dominion at the start of witch again if you want some more cast speed for some extra damage. Only do this if mana is NO issue, since more cast speed also means you spend more mana.

6L ~ SRS > Spell echo > Minion damage > Melee Splash > Melee physical > Empower/added fire

Empower become more important the more expensive your gear is, a +1 to all gems staff and a lvl 4 vaal'ed empower would make empower more valuable than melee physical, but if you have that kind of budget, you should be using a 6L anyway so I put it in the 6th spot.

If the mana cost becomes too high for your current level of gear to sustain, consider using culling strike instead of melee physical. Culling strike is pretty strong now, especially with 20% quality.

2L/2S Generosity/Hatred/ Haste/Discipline => Discipline can be replaced by artic armour once enough ES on gear has been obtained.
4L ~ Zombie/Minion Life/Minion resistance/Spectre
1S +2L ~ Chaos golem OR Convocation + BM/Clarity
3L ~ Flesh offering - Vaal Haste - Increased duration
4L ~ Lightning ball - Gmp - Curse on hit - Curse ( Ele weakness / Enfeeble / Temp chains )

Only the faster casting

Summon raging spirits are minions, they don't benefit from anything affecting our attacks or spells.

Basically the only way to increase our damage output is.

Minion attack speed
Minion movement speed ( reduce travel time between mods and reduce travel time from the place they're being cast to the mob )
Minion damage
+ gem levels
Cast speed
Aura's

This is also why the build invests so heavily into aura's.

The current version of multistrike is just not strong enough for the huge multiplier attached to it, it's 30% less damage for a 94% more attack speed mult.

Math => 100 dmg becomes 70

This 70 damage is multiplied by 1.94 => 135.8

100 dmg becomes 135.8

So multistrike is basically a 35.8% more multiplier.

Compared to other gems this just isn't worth the 180% more mana multiplier any more, what made multistrike so strong pre 2.0 is that it had increased damage on the gem, which was really strong for summoners because we naturally don't have a lot of increased minion damage in the tree.

good guide, well explained, and really budget

+1
Its Wednesday my Dudes , AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
how did you level?
He has shown the order in which he took the notable keystones in the passive skill tree in his build video.
What you think about using Shavs for this build and +1 Gems 5l staff? Would it be defensive good?
which mods from your wand exactly, apart from faster casting affect raging spirits? This additional elemental damage/+% phys dmg also counts?
At which state of the character is it optimal to switch over to SRS? Are there any key moments?

IIRR no, only faster casting and +x to fire gem counts on the wand, minion damage, curses, auras beside that.

To magier556:
The build looks solid, i planned one very similar but with a staff (5l +1or+2fire is still low budget imho), but i have to do make a note: you only lack in bandits (i guess Oak, Alira, if 5% cast speed is worthed, or point, point), when to switch from FT and Firestorm and the notable levelling is a little messy, if you manage to do levelling trees would be very useful to the ones who approach at this kind of build for the first time and you don't have to edit the video.

Just my two cents, great work btw!
A "deterministic" way to waste your time

Have ever played d3 again?
What's the rationale behind not using multistrike in your links? Is it just worse than the others?
