constant crashes

I haven't played this game for a while, but this week I became nostalgic and came back.
Never had any problems with the game but now I'm getting constant crashes, most of the time the message is this:  What does this mean and how can I fix it? cheers "my eyes are open, yet the nightmare continues"

Hi there!
Thank you for posting regarding this issue. This Error message is usually in relation to a lack of available physical memory, or corruption within the game files. In particular it may help to add "-gc 2" to the end of your Path of Exile shortcut target location if you're playing on the standalone client (It should look like this: "C:\Program Files\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\Client.exe" -gc2), or your Launch Options if you're using the Steam Client. There are also noted fixes for this issue provided by community members listed here: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/578372 , that detail a method of editing the launcher via administrator privileges. If this does not repair the issue, are you able to provide us with information about your computer by running dxdiag and posting it for us? (start, run, "dxdiag", and posting the information in a spoiler tag) it would be appreciated as it really helps us with assisting you to find the cause. This game is stupid, there is some bad programming involved i guess. You can fix it only with 64-bit OS, which is kinda sad. Im still using 32-bit OS - dont need to upgrade (im also playing another games without any problems, only PoE).

New games being released are starting to REQUIRE 64-bit OS due to memory limitations and other problems. 64-bit has been around for a VERY long time, and this is to gain adoption. You only have yourself to blame at this point if you haven't upgraded to one yet. There really hasn't been a CPU manufactured in the last 10 years that DIDN'T support 64-bit. I'd say 10 years is long enough for you to consider an upgrade. It also has nothing to do with bad programming. You really NEED to upgrade to 64-bit OS... not just for PoE but to continue into future games. " It's not "fanboy advice". It's real legitimate support. Your problem is specifically because you haven't updated to a 64-bit os. I'm fairly certain (98%) that doing nothing more than upgrading to 64-bit will fix your current crash. As I said before, your CPU supports it, and newer games are requiring it. Why not upgrade? 64-bit is just a better experience all around unless you're trying to use Windows XP or only have 2gb of RAM.. Both problems are bigger issues than PoE working. You've already been told.
You're running out of available RAM. This is mainly because of address limitations in 32-bit operating systems. It's happening now because there are larger and more assets preloaded now which pushes the limits of your RAM. Also, if you're looking for official support, you're looking in the wrong place.
