Welp, in fact, he is quite right about that. It comes to what you think you are paying for.

You are getting all the points, you normally would -5$.
So for that 5$ you are getting all that stuff listed in the supp pack. Not really "free", yes, but I'd say a really good deal, nonetheless.
Given you can just wait for the access, and are not forced to buy anything. You can still play the live version for "true free" anyways, so yeah. Don't think GGG is so evil with their deals and marketing strategy. :=V
