Undiscovered vendor recipes. (Base item upgrade)

So i find it odd that there is no recipe to upgrade the base of an item to a higher tier. It seems like this recipe would be something that the team have thought about surely and i have seen a few threads on it but there is no comment from GGG about it.

Chris has said there is still undiscovered recipes and i think that this could possibly be one of them, the recipe has the potential to be very powerful and i guess understandably it could also be an exspensive formula to do.

If such a recipe existed it would open the way for all type of crafting and allow the average player who found "that god tier item" but just the wrong base to slowly have a goal to work towards.

Here is an example of such an item:



Things i have thought about but yet to try is using an eternal as part of the vendor recipe eg:

Eternal + Your item + base of the next tier with the same sockets and colors (charen recipe) = your item on the next level base.

Has anyone tried such a recipe and thoughts on whether one should or does exist ?

Heh its on the to do list for sure ever since i got this sword. Ive questioned it before but having the sword has made me insanely curious about it. I think ill try putting a bit more effort into it but also keen to hear if anyone in the community has tried any recipes so i can discard them.

that sword, god i feel sorry for you.

I remember asking about this in one of my early threads and they didnt intend to have one. At least for uniques.

there is still an undiscovered or at least not publicly know recipe connected to feathers and fishing rods. There are a set of things you must perform to drastically improve your chance to get a rod, otherwise its a futile attempt pretty much.

maybe ppl posted stuff like this on reddit, but afaik there is no database of what possible vendor reciped combinations has been tried. (they did this with the roha feathers^^)
but if u feel like it, just start such a project and win ppl to help you, could be a google docs excel sheet to fill in the tried ones and share it for the public
