haven't looked at tool, but the idea of a price indexer seems pretty worthless to me as most mid range items' prices are mostly dependent upon the seller's mood, not a price list

Any idea on how accurate is this compared to poe.trade and sorting by price, and taking lowest online b/o?

It doesn't take the lowest buyout but the lowest end of the price curve. Pretty neat. You can read up on how it works on the site.
