" Well I don't have a Caracass Jack nor do I have the money to buy any 5L item. I'm using pennies right now. (Alts and Transes) |

Ah well, bummer then. Yeah, few builds are exactly free and even fewer of those are attacker builds.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Nothing can be done in that manner. At least nothing I've tried, and I've tried just about everything on the forums. If it involves a unique, it can't be self-found. The chances of finding the unique you want is just about zero. Yes some people do get the drop for things like WoE, but not everyone will get it so it doesn't count. Just about everything involves a unique to some degree. They simply offer too much. If it doesn't require a unique, it requires a rare. And those are harder to come by. It takes a shit-ton of Irish luck to get good rares (or loads of grinding your eyes and fingers out/off), or trading. Nothing can be played self-found. |

Of course it can, I've been playing a tank tendril templar recently in torment because I wanted to shop for some things that are expensive in standard. Empty stash, fully self-found, even gems, I was curious how hard would that be to pull off with a caster. Haven't been terribly lucky either, the gear is utter crap but it doesn't even need better.
I'd say you could pull it off with pretty much any spell that isn't support-hungry, like firestorm or arc. Those tendrils are sitting in a crappy +2 wand actually, yup, still only 3-link and the char is almost level 80. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Maybe I'm just too used to high support setups. I'll give it a try. Traps are the best thing to do in that case, since they can deal amazing damage from a single more modifier. |
