Getting tired of zana..

Boem, you need some comprehension skills.

Zana is the ONLY master who can give you missions that are entirely based on your RNG luck, and to a lesser extent how many ex's your gear-set is worth. Yes, the item is technically there in the map somewhere, but it's purely luck on if you can find it in time.

Would finding that 1 item/slaughtering your way out from under the timer be easier if you can roffle-stomp your way thru end-game maps? Yes. But that just creates another "haves vs have-not's" in the playerbase, and i strongly believe that's something that GGG should NOT be striving for.

If you're one of the few elite players (and most likely ranged) who can sit back and 1 or 2 click your way into clearing an entire room, good for you. Most of us dont have that kind of gear, so the master missions (ANY master mission) should'nt be built for that level of performance.

Reread my post carefully this time.

"you need some comprehension skills", not sure if joking or not. I specifically state i do these missions on a 3 ex build at lvl 7 zana. Timed missions and all. Sure i fail them sometimes, more then not i succeed in finishing them and even if you fail, it's a free map worth of xp + potential map drops. There is no "loss" in doing a zana mission, its pure win in itself.

As for the notion of it being RNG, it's the polar opposite, since the item/quest in 100% guaranteed present inside the map and doable.

Hell i cleared fracture maps with tar ground and zombie's/necro where the mission was 5-min time based "slay the corrupted monsters".

Yeah you can get really unlucky and get a courtyard and this will push your limits, but is still doable or you can get a mountain ledge and have an easy time., but that's about it.

You need to re-examine your need to clear every single mission without failing sometimes. That's not the game's or the master's design issue, it's yours. The masters where designed to challenge different builds continuously, obviously if you don't have a lot of different builds available, or simply refuse to change characters to better suit the mission, you are bound to fail some missions.

Hi

Gear and builds... Zana will punish you if either is lagging in timed missions. Zana curtails to builds that can kill most monsters in 2 hits maximum in her timed missions.

I think what players are suggesting is that they would prefer a more intuitive Zana; if she could give missions based more on a characters build/gear choices which won't happen.

Personally I hate Zana timed missions, particularly with my new build in torment, some skills just won't kill fast enough thus if I want to succeed at Zana I would require a more ''cookie cutter'' type build preferably High Critical, otherwise as what others have written I agree on that who cares if you fail, its a free map without any real penalty for failure...could you imagine losing exp every time you fail a masters mission? Puts it a different perspective now.

I'm in 2 minds.

Sure the timed missions are kinda frustrating. Supper frustrating if you 'unexpected disconnect'. Super frustrating in that it really highlights desync when trying to move soo fast past soo many mobs.
Super frustrating when there's 1 mob left out of 147, because it 'desynced' and disspeared from your screen and it was right back at the start...

Tho, not as mad as Haku's lighting warp totems. OMFG the server really thinks I'm that bad a gamer, I wouldn't have taken the 1 step to avoid that death?!!

Flipside. I like there's a master that's super hard. That I actually read the mission before going portal. If it says timed, I've learnt. This is a 'maybe' - push it harder, but not too hard.
Take it as bonus exp, and a chance to get some more higher maps.

She's also a 'the' only master I really have 'story's about'. Other day, did a 74 map. She was in it. She gave me a 75 area. One of the big scary mobs in there, dropped a 77. That 77 dropped a 78, then that meant farming 78's till the sun rose! (Tho mean dom didn't drop me a shavs)
