This exact build I do not think so. I just started a similar build but will focus on physical damage instead. It should work out just as fine but a claw and shield should work fine. The physical claw and shield is still extremely tanky though even more so than dual claw because we use less dependence on auras only herald of Ash, Arctic Armor, and if we can Hatred. We focus on Health regen, Blood rage Leech, Passives Leech, and Life + mana on hit from claw. Lots of leech still. NO Blood magic required. We'll see if I die I'm playing hardcore.

BTW I just made an Item Filter that also includes all claws. Feedback is appreciated but don't expect me to make a pickit for you. Very contemporary I don't like the super flashy crap everyone else made, so I made my own. Very simple and it works.

Shows all claws, rares, uniques, recipes, ect...
White Items up to lvl 20 but filters out low items every 5 levels.
FIlters out crap white belts.
Filters out lower flasks based on item levels.
Filters out white rings after level 30. and filters them back in at ilvl 60 for crafting
Shows all Maps.
Hidden Item font very light grey w/ no bg color making easy identification of useful items
Recipe items are a coral color and get darker as the recipe become more valuable.
Very easy to edit and read my filter. Since I don't use a million quotes like everyone else.
High rares, ring, belt brighter for recipes / crafting.
Shows all special flasks.
Shows quality flasks for bauble recipe.
Shows all quality gems.
Shows all gems above lvl 4. Up to lvl 40.
Shows all magic belts, rings, amulets. I always pick those up.

Cons:
No chisel recipe. I don't mess w/ that.
It's up to you to add specific ilvl 77 items for crafting. I don't want to see every craftable lvl 77 item. That is up to the individual build.

Something like this is the plan. Working decent so far in cruel A2, 3 levels under area level. Running Herald of Ash + Arctic Armor auras. Fire Golem. Facetanked everything so far. I feel like I'm moving pretty slowly but then I thought. Oh Yeah! everything has been self found since trading in the Beta is pretty much null. My weapons are crap yet I am netting decent damage.

RUnning 4L:
Molten Strike
Multistrike
Faster Attacks
Added Fire

What I may experiment with is dual wield 1 claw + soul Taker Axe to get rid of mana requirement and run a few more auras without using blood magic. If we run 3 auras we can use abyssus and get rid of our aura nodes and go more into crit. Will take some experimentation to see what the best course of action will be. Obviously it will be alot more expensive but as I found out it's pretty easy to become rich starting out in a new league using this build.



The elemental build may still be possible. I might even try that if they do a wipe. Can only run a max of 3 auras though most likely Wrath, Anger, and Arctic Armour. I'm pretty sure we can get rid of blood magic endgame if we craft eleron rings and ammy and use a level 1 20 quality molten strike. Then you can switch with added lightning or something to regain the lost aura damage. It may be easier to level with this route because you rely more on the auras damage than actually finding weapons.

Just claws with life on hit. Looks like the endgame uniques would be: Belly of the Beast, Alpha's Helm, Soul Taker Siege Axe.

Hard to say. Alot has changed. Elemental build for lvling and maybe switch to physical endgame. The auras seem to do a little less damage, but with Fire Golem, the New frenzy charges, and the Warcry we may possible be at more damage. Also w/ soul Taker we can use leap slam instead of the annoying whirling blades.

W/ Leap slam I plan to link: Leap Slam, Fortify, Stun, Endurance Charge on Melee Stun.

Everything seems to hit like a truck... So I run arctic armor instead of a 4th offensive aura.

We might be more tanky than other builds. I saw a lvl 40 claw w/ +21 Life on Hit. I wonder if it gets any higher than that. I also saw claws w/ 1.6 Aps so that may help us out in the DPS department. They may go higher. I did not reach endgame before the reset we will see If I can get there this time. AT least we know we can get rid of blood magic though. Wish I thought of that last league :P.

OK. Wanted to do a few Tests. DEcided to stop playing Beta because God only know when it will be wiped. This build is super tanky and whenever reset happens I will make this build for Beta. The build is just as powerful because we get golems, frenzy charges, better weapons, more defense.
Bought myself an Alpha's Howl + Soul Taker siege axe in Standard.

Tooltip DPS: 18,145
Tooltip w/ Alpha's: 18,680 (3 Auras on Alpha's) 3% dps increase
Tooltip w/ Soul Taker: 19,365 : 3.5% dps increase

Replacing Blood Magic:
Tooltip w/ lvl 17 Increased Critical Strikes (138%): 20,179
Tooltip w/ lvl 12 Added Lightning (1-84dmg): 20,676
Tooltip w/ lvl 1 Critical Damage (50%): 20,780

Definately did not expect Critical Damage to play such a large roll in Increasing of DPS.
I was also hoping for a larger DPS increase from removing Blood Magic. I swapped in Leap slam instead of whirling Blades. Look like crit will be the way to go. I ran out of chromes but I see myself replacing GMP w/ Increased Critical Chance

I think we should definately go the crit route.
This will allow us to take advantage of some important offensive / defensive flasks.
Faster Attacks can be replaced by critical Chance.
GMP would be replaced by Power Charge on Critical.
By utilizing Leap slam we can get rid of our speed flask and add diamond Flask.

Once I get overcapped resists and level up a bit more I will attempt Azuri again. I was definately not prepared last time I did not know she had fire penetration.

Much tankier. AT first glance you may think it does less damage but now we get Fire Golem +15% Increased Damage, +4% MORE dmg per frenzy charge, and a warcry that also gives more damage. Once You Get Soul Taker Siege Axe and an exceptional claw we switch over to crit physical reave build. I guess you can go crit molten strike, but you will also be attacking w/ the soul taker siege axe which would be bad once you get an exceptional claw / dagger. Reave is very weapon dependent which is why we wait until endgame to switch into it.

It's definitely solid. You really have to mess something up big to die w/ all of the defensive nodes we are taking. You can always switch Arctic Armour for Herald of Ice if thats your thing (Not worth it IMO.

I hope it's not impossible to find claws. I think there will be plenty. Might even be able to spec Physical reave earlier and use a shield and blood magic if the ele dmg version is too weak early on. I doubt it though. Molten strike does insane damage, you just have a lag of 1 second before the aoe damage applies.

I am still curious as to how much damage we can actually do with some really good gear. I really haven't played enough to spec into perfect gear like all the other builds have done. If we get high +ele dmg on all our gear we can see some pretty insane damage. Not to mention the tooltip does not calculate the ball damage which is likely 1.5 hits normally and 3.5 hits w/ GMP.


A Few more questions for us to ponder before 2.0....
Save 7 skill points and use Windscream boots for additional curse? If we do this we can prolly not even go all the way to templar tree. Spec more HP / evasion and resists to make up for what we are missing? This is a serious option as there is alot of resists / hp we can get from our tree. I'll look for some on standard and see how that pans out.
