I like your build. Searing bond is not effected by Fire Penetration though...maybe throw in added fire damage or faster casting

Hah good note there thank you. Its great build however but I died from playing recklessly. When I finish with my build and just need to push levels I start to play pretty careless and I eventually got killed

Hey, I altered your build a bit to suit my tastes a bit more. However I'm a complete newb to this, so I was wondering if you thought they were effective changes or if I was sacrificing a critical component.

Altered Bow Shadow Build

Main differences are I dropped int by 10 points & health on kill for some more flat health, % health regen, % armor, and more fire res via all res.

How many points will there be to allocate in total?

What should I focus on grabbing first as a solo/bloodlines? I've so far just been in the top right section of the tree. @ level 17.

Criticism and feedback welcome, I was also thinking of working in another keystone, like Unwavering Stance since we can't evade anyway.

Hello, your tree looks inefficient when you're heading bottom left to the tree there are too many waste points which are not worth it in my opinion. I dont think unweavering stance would work at all, better head for more move speed , HP and maybe resists. As starter for this build the build cant follow the exact road as showed, in order to achieve that it requires respecs, as soon as you finish merciless you must go back and do all the respec points quests and use em. When I was leveling I took everything which was near me and time passing and levels getting higher I slowly respec and respec that's the idea of all the thing - Not many worthless points and respecs thats the way I progress and many Hardcore players also I believe, respecing is really required to build up your char.

I don't understand why you need health regen and more fire resists looking forward for reply for what was your idea to do that.

I entirely dropped the Hired Killer cluster, and the max mana leading to Trickery. Using those points I went instead for Heart of the Warrior, the extra life regen was just a bonus on my way to it (and extra str).

Having gone that route, I dropped the two points you put into the resistances above Sentinel to grab Diamond Skin and 12% armor.

It looks inefficient, but I just pulled the "waste points" from places I thought they could be better placed elsewhere, and there's not really any better way to get to Diamond Skin/Heart of the Warrior.

I hadn't even actually found a way to Unwavering Stance, I just thought it might be somewhat beneficial. I don't know what I'd sacrifice. But yes, I never really got stunned playing ranged anyway.

I also swapped Path of the Warrior for Quickness.

Doesn't life regen make more sense for big bosses when you actually get hit than life on kill does? Why not sacrifice 3% res of the other two for 15% on fire and keep them all well rounded?

The overall stats of my build compared to yours hardly change, except I'm 10 less on Int and about 10 less on life on kill, with slightly more %life and more fire res.

I'd prefer to have life on kill because you can easily poison the whole room and take hits - by just killing people over time you regain all the HP back quickly.

Glad to see you test some thing out on your own - I never said follow the passive tree completely It just depends on your personal preference.

Thank you for trying the build. Let me know for any updates on yours.

I just prefer to have the person that made it critique it, I had just started playing since Season One, and that was the first character I made. (I play Bloodlines Only) I died, so no further progress on this build currently. Low level poison arrow wasn't putting out enough dps for me. I found the initial hits to be much more dmging than the over-time effects as well.

Playing self-found was incredibly difficult with a DoT effect. Haha, thanks for the build though, it was interesting, I never found a searing totem to use.
