Beta Invite Email

exactly how does this invite system work?
is it that when your name gets picked do you get an auto email or what do i have to be off-line? cause just willing to do anything for this game. looks so fun and if i cant get into closed beta i am for sure going to wait for open beta. but i would love to know exactly how the invite system works please respond back anyone. thanks again. cant wait.
