Useless Gems (No value)

In a bartering system an item's value is determined by the two people participating in the trade. So long as people are having fun and enjoying themselves and get what they wanted out of the trade, great. The fact that people do enjoy putting items and time out there that some say have no use or value are the main people who help the brand new players. In my book helping the brand new players who have zero wealth to spend is awesome.

Mainly no one is right or wrong, everyone plays differently and so long as the person is happy about it at the end of the day, all is good in the world.

My beloved pets....
That was deep.
I understand the time is money idea. But to me the two hours I spent gaining 80+ scrolls is much more efficient than two hours of collecting whites and selling them for scraps. Then collecting more whites and sell thing for scraps. Fight, town, fight, town, fight, town. At the point of the game I am in now I couldnt imagine me doing that. The only way I would do that is to make a new character (because thats what i do with new characters for half of act 1).

And in all honesty I think that two hours of farming whites would probably equal my time invested. But this way new characters can have new skills at a phenomenal price, especially when I see people trying to sell those on trade chat for an alch LOL

Congrats Chris & others for cashing out! I don't blame you. I'll be saving money now... unless I start making a lot more. Can't wait to see if you guys start a new studio in six years! RIP GGG
GGG said they are going to add something to do with unused gems (beyond the current resist rings/onyx amulet recipes). I'm saving all mine in preparation, each color has it's own stash tab by this point.

There are much easier ways to get wisdom scrolls BTW. Just do like normal Brutus/Merveil runs with a bit of IIR/Q and pick up the rares. You can ID them or not then sell them for alts/transmutes, which you can then sell back for a bunch of wisdom scrolls (each of those orbs sells for 4 scrolls). In a few minutes you can get a full stack of scrolls, since even with only +100% IIR each of those bosses drops nearly a full inventory of rares per run.
