BSOD?

The pattern I see when I ged the blue screen is that it happens when I alt+tab back into the game. I would really appreciate some information.

can you do a clean driver installation for your video card drivers directly from the nvidia site?
you might need to boot into safe mode and run driver sweeper first to get a clean install. see if that fixes any issues. | |

I did a clean installation but didn't run driver sweeper first. I guess that's important right?

yes. it ensures all old and possibly corrupt drivers for the card are removed.

Hope that would fix things. I will report if further BSODs occur. Thank you for your assistance. |

Got a blue screen yesterday when i shut down my PC. I hit the shut down button and when i got back PC was still on with a message that it had recovered from a serious error. Checked Bluescreenview and it was there. Here is the dump:

if you did a proper clean and reinstall of your video drivers, then you either have a corruption in your windows install, or some bad hardware.
are you in a position where you can format and reinstall windows? |
