Evangelist are basically the Atziri of Summoner's Minions. They don't do the most damage (Tortue Chamber Boss etc.), but they're stupidly hard to kill (Only indirect damage hurts them mostly), and they're gonna disintegrate anything standing still against them.
Flame Sentinels would be more akin to Torture Chamber Boss. They incinerate rubbish really fast, but they ain't the tankiest of the spectres you're gonna use. https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1394759 - Suggestion for beginner tutorial.
