Using dual mjolnir in dual strike skill

Righthand mjolnir does not cast its lightning gems as frequent as the lefthand mjolnir. I don't know if this behavior is expected or a bug. But based on my understanding once mjolnir is wield to any enemy whether its in left on right. Its lightning gems have a 50% chance to cast. However its very obvious that when you used dual mjolnir the lefthand casts its lightning gems more compare to its righthand in using dual strike gem. There are no clear description that limits this kind of instance. Can someone tell me if my understanding is wrong or not.

Not a bug.
Dual strike will only proc the main hand Mjölner. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/927004 Still sane exile?
